Have you ever tried to feel like being locked up in a dark room? Once the door closes, the light breaks, and the cooking doesn't work. Don't push the door in such a hurry. I just finished this two-sided glass wall remodel last week, and my friends came home for dinner, and the first sentence was, "this is not a kitchen, it's a living room extension!"
To be honest, i used to think that the glass door was quite advanced, and two years later it was discovered that the smoke came into the living room and the door was blocked and the glass had to be polished. The double-faced glass wall was subsequently replaced and the disc turned upside down. It's not the kind of "defunct" design, it's a design that really works, works well and saves attention。

First, the point is that the core of the two-sided glass wall is not “perfore”, but “through”. It removes two sides of the wall between the kitchen and the living room, on the one hand a glass wall with cabinets and on the other a folding door + glass mix. You're standing in the living room looking at the kitchen, looking at the end of the room; you're cooking in the kitchen and you can see people brushing their phones on the couch, and you can interact without turning back. This feeling of “visibility without disturbance” is what modern families want most。

But don't think it's just glass. I stepped on the pit — i started with a general transparent glass, and the smoke came up, the whole wall was full of oil stains, and it looked like a layer of fog. Then, the growth window, a dozen vertical stripes, the light came in soft, the sight was blurred, privacy was found and the light was not lost. The point is that oil pollution is not easy to show and is fast to wipe。

There is also a detail that is ignored by many: glass walls must be fitted with steeled glass and above 8 mm thick. I've seen people try to use ordinary glass cheaply, and the kids bump into it, and it's all over the ground. Safe always ranks first。

And even worse, i'm going to make that wall the structure of the "up and down." the following cabinets are made, the drawers are so full of dry goods for the following year that they leave full glass on them, and from outside the kitchen, the living room is seen in green, sofa, television, and the whole house becomes bigger and bigger。

If your kitchen is small and dark, don't give up. I summed up four practical options, none of which were written:

- pd door + glass: once the door is pushed, the whole hole opens, as if there was no door, especially for those who want the kitchen to “show”. But look, a wall can't be full of glass, or everything is gone. I'll make up for the harvest with an embedding high-box + island cart. - pocket door + glass: suitable for a wall-heavy household, hidden inside, unoccupied. The disadvantage is that there is a problem with maintenance, and the hardware must be picked up, or the slip will die in a few years and the door will have to be broken. - hide the door + window: replace the kitchen door with an invisible design, open a window on the other side, light up during the day and use the curtains as a bar at night. My neighbour put an operating table under the window, cooking noodles, cutting vegetables and pouring coffee. It's easier than a regular table. - hide the door + bar: that's my favorite. The kitchen door was replaced by a pocket or a pd door, and the opposite wall was demolished into a bar. When you're done with your meal, you put the food on it, the family sits around and the atmosphere is full. I also put a light belt on, and at night it's light, like eating in a restaurant。

Speaking of cleaning, don't be afraid. There are oil-proof coated glass, and the rags are clean, and they are not removed from the glass. I'm using an automatic window polishing robot, setting the time, running up and down, saving time。

And the most amazing thing about it is that it's getting air out of the house. Used to be in the kitchen, the whole house was cleaned up with an integrated stove + a new wind system, a fire, automatic start-up of a strong platoon, and then switching to the ventilation mode。

Actually, the kitchen shouldn't be a place to hide. We cook, not just to feed, but to live. Two-sided glass walls, not to look good, but to make the kitchen the center of the family. - you're willing to stay there and share the smoke with your family。

And don't be stuck with the traditional push-off. The renovations are now permeable, practical and temperature. You should not buy one door, but a way of life。

Don't hesitate if you're obfuscating the kitchen. Try the double-faced glass wall, even if you change one side, and you'll suddenly find out that my house is so bright and so open。
