After about 20 months, citizens returning by plane may choose to travel by magnetic float to the southern station of the changsha train, then to return to the main area of changsha by metro, so as to be quick and without fear of traffic。

On may 16th, the country's first autonomous medium- and low-speed magnetic transport line with intellectual property rights — long-sand-magnetic project — was officially launched, just entering the millennium-old metro-era city of changsha, and heading towards the magnetic era!

It is expected that the passenger trial will be operational in early 2016

The long-salt magnetic float project was drawn from the north side of the eastern square of the changsha railway station, where it arrived on the south side of the labour road and turned eastward. It then crossed the river of the yangtze road, moving east to wong xing boulevard. It then turned north towards the pear station (rangmu), followed by the qun passenger transport line, and travelled southward along the huang xing road to the high-speed south side of the airport, to the eastwards of yellow xing boulevard, to the south side of the airport highway and to the express station, to the northwards of the airport highway, to the west side of the airport boulevard, and to the upper and trans-air boulevards vertically to the intersections of the t1, t2 terminal, about 18. 54 kilometres in length。

There are three stations on the whole line, namely, the long sand train south station, the pear (ramu) station and the yellowflower airport station. A vehicle section and an integrated base are located in the wide area and the control centre is located in the integrated base. Three configurations are proposed for the operation of the magnetic flotilla, with an initial requirement of five columns, a medium-term requirement of nine columns, and a forward requirement of 14 columns, with a maximum capacity of 307 personnel per vehicle and a maximum capacity of 450 passengers, designed to operate at a maximum speed of 100 kilometres per hour. It is expected that it will take just over 10 minutes to move from the changsha railway station south to yellowflower airport after completion of the shipment。

The total investment in long-sand magnetic projects is estimated at $4,195 million at a cost of approximately $226 million per km. Work on the project is planned for 20 months and is expected to commence at the end of december 2015 with the completion of the work and the start of passenger pilot operations in early 2016。

    Switch to 300 meters

“upon completion of the magnetic float project, a fast route between the south station of the train and the yellowflower airport will be formed to achieve a seamless transition between the high and metro and magnetic floats.” the head of the design unit and the manager of the sand float project, director of central steel, yang ping。

On the south side of the changsha railway station, on the west side is wu guangxi square, on the east side is the construction of tung ko east square, on the east side of which the magnetic float project was drawn from the south station east square, and on the south side is the two-storey high-mounted station at the south station where the magnetic float train is based。

According to yang ping, the passenger flow at changsha south station will be divided into two main sections, one being the passengers of wu guang gao, who, after getting off the west side of the station, can pass through the station and travel to the east square of the station to take the magnetic flotilla at a distance of about 300 metres; the second is the future flow of quang gao iron, where the passengers leave directly to the east square, less than 100 metres from the magnetic float station; and the flow of passengers on metro 2 and 4 from the south station, where they can travel directly to the east plaza by way of the escalator, to the magnetic bus station at a distance of about 300 metres。

On the other hand, at yellowflower airport, the magnetic float line is on the corridor between the t1 and t2 terminal buildings, and upon arrival at the yellowflower terminal by a magnetic float train, it enters the corridor directly to the t1 or t2 terminal。

“in addition to the three stations built in the first phase, the magnetic line has reserved two stations, the changsha convention centre station and the autotown station, to further boost economic development along the route and attract the flow of passengers. The future will be built in due course in the light of actual developments.”。

Vice-governor zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang zhang said that the completion of the long-sand magnetic project would lead to a substantial and seamless interface between the two modern transport systems of high iron and aviation in the country for the first time, and to the establishment of an integrated network of “air and iron linkages” in all its dimensions。

The first-hand experience of the r & d team proves that radiation values are completely safe. Internal

"now, a lot of people talk about radiation color change, and there's a misperception." li xiaochun, deputy director of the institute of magnetic floats of the china south motor plant company, explained that the earth itself was a large magnetic field, and that any electrical power source could produce radiation once it had been powered. And the radiation values of the medium- and low-speed magnetic float we built are completely safe."

Lee xiaochun told journalists that, in order to detect radiation values, he and members of the team were thinking about taking the magnetic floats from their homes from their daily use of electromagnetic furnaces, electric blowers, boilers, liquid crystal displays and even razor blades, and using the special equipment of the national laboratory, conducting the tests at a distance of 1, 3, 5 and 10 metres from the medium- and low-speed magnetic floats, as compared to the normal use of these appliances。

"i was surprised when it came out, and the radiation was so low!" lee xiaochun said that people were standing outside the medium- and low-speed magnetic float being used, at a distance of 1 metre from the body of the vehicle, with radiation levels lower than those on the surface of the day-to-day electromagnetic furnace; at a distance of 3 metres, the radiation values were lower than those of the microwave; at a distance of 5 metres, the radiation values were smaller than those of the use of electric razors; and at a distance of 10 metres, the radiation levels were completely inundated and difficult to detect。

What happens when you sit in the car and the tests are secure? According to lee xiaochun, the safety limits for electromagnetic radiation in magnetic float vehicles are the same as those for subways, within 100 μt. What is the concept of 100 μt? “you know that pacemakers are the most sensitive to electromagnetic radiation; according to world health organization (who) standards, radiation values of less than 100 μt will not affect pacemakers. In other words, people who are most sensitive to electromagnetic radiation will have no problem travelling on magnetic floats and will have no impact on normal people.”

Li xiaochun says that the institute is largely staffed by young girls and young people, and that for two years the “small partners” who have been involved in the development have been in the car for quite a long time, and that there are several married and having children during this period, and their babies are very healthy。

In response to concerns about electromagnetic radiation, noise, safety, etc., the long-sand-magnetic float project was officially launched, and journalists interviewed specialists from the national centre for research in magnetic transport engineering at the university of toji, the south stations institute for low-speed magnetic float research, etc., to ask them to clarify their doubts —

On 16 may, work began on the magnetic floating orbital transportation project between the high iron long station shanan and the long sand yellow flower international airport, which became the first commercial low-speed magnetic floating orbital traffic line to be developed on our own initiative, marking a new step forward in the application of magnetic float technology。

In the case of the new medium- and low-speed magnetic float project, there are doubts among the population about its exposure to electromagnetic radiation, noise and safety. With these issues in mind, journalists interviewed academics from relevant research institutes, such as the national centre for research on magnetic transport engineering and technology of the university of toji, and the institute of medium- and low-speed magnetic float of south stations。

"the radiation values of the medium- and low-speed magnetic float are completely safe."

Liu wanming, a professor at the national centre for magnetic transport engineering at the university of toji, told the journalist: “the size of the magnetic float train, to make it `floating', does require a strong electromagnetic field. However, vehicle designers are able to ensure, through technical means, that the magnetic field carrying the magnetic floater is mainly concentrated between the vehicle and the distance of about one centimetre between the orbit and the vehicle, thus keeping the radiation within safe control.”

“we are in the earth itself a large magnetic field. Our country is in a magnetic field of 20 to 40 μts from the south to the north.” liu yumei, a member of the chinese engineering college and director of the south motors commission of experts, told the journalist。

It is known that the long-sand magnetic flotilla will use the medium- and low-speed magnetic flotilla “wind chasers” produced by our south station company。

Liu yumei described the “wind chaser” train as having been tested by specialized equipment, with a radiation level of only 10 μt at a distance of 1 metre from the vehicle; 1 μt at a distance of 3 metres; and only 0. 3 μt at a distance of 5 metres。

“it may be said that the amount of radiation to which the passengers of the magnetic flotilla are exposed is at a level entirely harmless to the human body.” liu yumei believes that the masses “can be assured of this.”

"the noise level when running at maximum speed is only equivalent to the normal human conversation"

“the level of noise in magnetic float trains is much lower than in traditional orbital vehicles such as subways and light rails.” the analysis by liu wanming shows that the traditional orbital vehicle has two main sources of noise: the noise generated by the wheel in contact with the orbit, similar to the “tempo noise” in our daily car; the noise generated by another body and air friction is similar to "wind noise"。

According to liu, one of the main features of the magnetic float train was that there was no contact with the orbit in the course of its journey, but rather that it was moving around about 1 cm above the orbit, so that there would be no noise from exposure. “two major sources of noise are missing, and the level of noise will inevitably decrease significantly.”

“the noise level at high speed runs at a level equivalent only to the normal human conversation, while at low speed it is almost silent.” this is the image of lee xiaochun, deputy director of the magnetic float institute of the south station company, of the medium- and low-speed magnetic float noise level. He told the reporters a story: once, when they were doing a mid-speed train drive test, there was a back-to-train tart on the tracks ahead. Owing to the low sound of the drive, the train was only a few metres away from the bird, and it still did not notice its arrival until the pilot sounded a flute and it was surprised to fly away。

    “technology is fully commercial”

Liu wanmin, who had carried out an analysis of orbital traffic accidents on a global scale, found that the vast majority of the casualties in orbital traffic accidents were related to the de-orbiting of trains。

“the combination of traditional orbital vehicles and orbital bites is dependent on the wheel of the wheel, while the magnetic float train is `covered'.” liu wanming told journalists that the magnetic float was encircled through high-strength steel structures beneath the vehicle. “the probability of de-orbiting is much lower than that of traditional orbital vehicles, which may be said to be minimal, so that the safety factor is higher.”

In addition, the question was raised as to whether the magnetic float “sliding” would “fall” in the event of a sudden power outage. On the one hand, liu wanming explained that the magnetic float trains were equipped with a back-up power system capable of maintaining the suspension of their bodies in the event of power outages until the vehicle was stabilized; and that, even when the back-up power system failed, the vehicle was designed to have a special friction unit in its area of contact with the orbit, which would provide moderate friction to ensure that the vehicle did not stop abruptly, but was slowly stabilized at the right speed。

"the wind chasers have passed harsh tests." lee xiaochun recalled that, once, in order to test the train's safety performance, lee xiaochun and his colleagues tested the magnetic float under extreme weather when the regular train was supposed to stop, and simulated the abrupt breakdown of the train's external power supply. “at that time, the spare batteries inside the train responded immediately, ensuring that the train stopped in a steady state without any discomfort on the part of the testers.”

“the `wind chaser' train has undergone over 10,000 kilometres of operation simulations, and its technological maturity is fully commercial.” liu yumei stated that the train had been put into operation after a long period of scientific validation and rigorous testing to ensure “security throughout a dynamic, life cycle”

Next page: why not build metro, metro, light rail, and choose medium- and low-speed magnetic float

Why don't you build subways, metros, light rails and choose low-speed magnetic floats

Magnetic floats have four great advantages

The chinese engineering academy, liu yumei, a well-known orbital power-trading expert, has been hailed as “the father of china's power locomotive” for medium- and low-speed magnetic drift. He was interviewed today by journalists on the opening of the country's first autonomous medium- and low-speed magnetic transport route with intellectual property rights. He described the four salient features of medium- and low-speed magnetic floats as being safe, quiet, green and economic, as opposed to traditional wheels and high-speed magnetic floats。

First, liu yumei said, magnetic float traffic is the only orbital mode of transport that can be operated without subversive accidents, as determined by the structure of the magnetic float transport system, where the magnetic float train “takes up” and integrates with the road base, whether on the ground or under the ground, permanently combining bridges and tracks into one whole, without the risk of subversion。

Secondly, it is one of the quietest vehicles. Since it operates in the air with magnetism, it operates at a low level, with a volume of over 60 db; in the absence of vehicles operating at night, background noise in the urban environment accounts for more than 50 dbs. So the noise from the magnetic float doesn't affect people's normal lives。

Thirdly, it is a green, two-size representative. In cities, where the distance between two stations is as short as 500 metres and generally averages more than one kilometre, to achieve operational efficiency, trains must be actively and quickly stopped and more power consumed. Magnetic floats have a greater capacity to climb slopes than traditional orbital traffic and can make large energy-efficient slopes, making full use of the gravity of the train and saving more than 20 per cent of the towed energy relative to traditional rail traffic. There are no tailings, no fast-moving components, no lubricating oil, and the effects on the surrounding ecology, including soil, water, animals, plants, noise and vibrations, are much smaller than the traditional rotation traffic。

Fourthly, it is a high-value transportation system. At present, we have a subway price of between $500 million and $800 million per kilometre, a light track of between $200 million and $300 million per kilometre, and a medium- and low-speed magnetic float system of between $150 million and $250 million per kilometre, with only one quarter of the cost of operating and repairing the wheeled train。

Liu yumei believes that the vastness of our country, its different geographical regions, different cities and different climatic conditions make it impossible to repair tunnels, subways and light tracks. Medium- and low-speed magnetic floats are particularly suitable for the rapid extension of urban passenger flows because they do not require large-scale earth break-ups and excavations, and because of the characteristics of low noise, no tail gas emissions and radiation safety。
