Since its founding in 2004, china's model united nations general assembly has been one of the most authoritative and close to the rules of procedure of the united nations in the country. The model united nations is designed to promote the ideals of the united nations among young students, to spread united nations knowledge and to develop highly qualified young people with an international vision and capacity to participate in global governance. After twenty-one years of development, the congress has further broadened the scope of its topics, engaged in rational debate in front-line areas such as artificial intelligence regulation, sustainable development and international governance, and attracted more than a dozen senior ambassadors, diplomats and former officials of international organizations to make thematic presentations for the congress and serve as judges。
The general assembly has seven venues: the first committee of the united nations general assembly, the second committee of the united nations general assembly, the third committee of the united nations general assembly, the tenth emergency special session, the united nations high-level political forum on sustainable development, the united nations high-level political conference on cybercrime and the main information centre. Our delegation was directed by the foreign language institute, mr. Wang xian and mr. Bianting, and was led by members of the 2023 civil aviation institute, mr. Ding, at the 2023 space academy, mr. Wang si, at the 2023 management institute, and mr. Liu yuxian, at the 2024 educational experimental institute. On the floor, our representatives were calm, agile, consulted, carefully prepared and well-received. In the end, yuyaning and wang si received the “outstanding delegation” award, while dingko also received the “most potential delegate” award on behalf of india。
In the course of our students ' participation in the china model united nations general assembly, we received more than 30 awards for groups and individuals, and the overall organizational and academic qualifications of our model united nations base team received high recognition from the organizers of the united nations association of china and the general assembly。
The participation was fully supported by the ministry of school education. Prior to the competition, the foreign language institute organized multiple rounds of training and simulation exercises, and two mentors, wang xuan and biyatine, gave careful guidance around key aspects such as protocol, rules of procedure and writing in english, thus laying a solid foundation for the excellence of their fellow students in the field。
As the country's first model united nations organization, my iumu team has witnessed tens of thousands of young students deepen their understanding of international rules through their participation at all levels of iumu. With this award as a new starting point, we will continue to assist the university of west china to enhance its international competence and to contribute our youth to the development of “master-type” talent in the world's scientific and technological powers。
