In march 2021, the bridge was tested at the site of a survey load test and found that the bridge also had more serious problems, such as the ageing of the mass concrete of the mid-bridge and the emptying of the base of the river's immersion, with significant security risks。
The ichun city park and forest services centre, which attaches great importance and responsibilities to the need to strengthen repairs, has held numerous meetings to communicate with design and bridge detection units on the reinforcement of maintenance programmes and to develop scientific and operational maintenance rehabilitation programmes for the problems that arise at bridges. Maintenance reinforcement work commenced on 8 october 2021. The project works include, inter alia, basic silt and slurries of the intermediate bridge, surface repair of the bridge and outsourcing of concrete, sub-slash repair, concrete breakage, beehives, crack repair and anti-corruption coating treatment. After more than a month of reinforced maintenance, the completion of the acceptance test was successfully completed on 14 november, providing for safe passage of the bridge。
After pumping water during the construction period, it was found that the physical emptying of the base far exceeded the visual presence of divers at the time of the reinforced design survey, with 1. 64 cubic metres of cement platinum at the base of the original design, requiring 14. 63 cubic metres of cement slurry for on-site verification。
