    Blue smoke on the engine

    Many of the operators who have used old equipment have seen vehicles smoke blue smoke. A light blue smoke that comes out of the exhaust pipe at work. The blue smoke, on the other hand, is the result of oil entering the engine gas tank and burning. For example, what we used to call "up and down" is to describe how engine oil leaks into the gas tank。

    If the engine were allowed to continue with the blue smoke, the earlier period would have resulted in a reduction in engine oil and an alert of fluid levels, while the later period would have resulted in more severe losses due to a lack of lubrication, which would have caused the engine to pull a tank and hold a tile。

    There are two main reasons for engine oil:

    1. Normal wear and tear of engines. Owing to the age of the engine, the wear and tear between the various parts of the work has increased, resulting in a larger gap of cooperation, which has resulted in lower sealing performance of the seals on the oil, resulting in the spilling of oil through other parts into the gas cylinders, and involvement in burning, generating blue smoke。

    2. Unnormal wear and tear of engines. As engines are not fully and effectively lubricated during their use, e. G., they work long periods of lack of engine oil; they do not replace engine oil, machine filters; and, in engine cooler conditions, large gas doors, etc., cause abnormal wear and tear of engines, leak and burn oil, and create blue smoke。

    Common failure:

    1. Between the gas door and the gas door seal。

    As there is a relative movement between the gas door and the gas-gate seal, accompanied by prolonged frictions, the gap between the gas-gate and gas-gate seals increases as engine usage increases, resulting in the oil leaking directly through the gap between the two into the engine tank, engaging in combustion and generating blue smoke。

    2. Between pistons and cylinders。

    The engine was able to ensure sufficient compression ratio and sufficient lubrication between the piston and the cylinder, which, in addition to the precision control of the gap between the piston and the cylinder, was also ensured by the oil membrane formed by the piston ring after the oil was dispersed. However, if the engine is not maintained and maintained, there is a risk that the gap between the engine piston ring and the gas cylinder may be widened. If the gap between the piston ring and the cylinder is increased, it will result in a decrease in the sealing performance of the piston ring vis-à-vis the oil, allowing engine oil to enter the tank through the gap, burning and generating blue smoke. In some cases, the piston ring's “opposite” also leads to the leakage, burning and generation of blue smoke from engine oil。

    3. Turbo booster turbine axle seal was damaged。

    Since the turbine pressurizer is operated at high speed, sufficient and stable oil must be provided during the course of work to ensure lubrication and smooth dissipation to ensure the proper operation of the pressurizer component. However, when turbo booster turbine axle seals are not sealed, they result in oil leaking into the turbine arctic。

    Pressure booster sealed structure

    (1) if the oil enters the side of the turbine, the oil will act as a high-temperature exhaust of the engine, causing combustion, resulting in blue smoke in the engine. In this case, a large amount of carbon will be generated in the pressurizer airway, which, in the long term, will lead to an increase in the load of the pressurizer and an increase in the temperature of the pressurizer. The situation is serious and will result in overheat burning of the booster。

    (2) if the oil enters the side of the pressurized wheel, the oil enters the vent, reaches the cylinder, burns and produces blue smoke. The introduction of oil into the gas tank combustion increases the generation of carbon on engine pistons. In the long run, it increases the occurrence of motor shaking and increases the probability of engine shock。

    Turbo pressurizer leaks

    In the case of oil spills from turbine boosters, resulting in blue smoke generation, the pressure booster seals need to be replaced in a timely manner in order to prevent the pressure booster from being scrapped due to poor lubrication and dissipation。

    4. Overloading of oil。

    Excessive additions of oil have increased the fluid surface of the oil, increasing the “upturn” of the oil and increasing the likelihood that it will enter the gas tank. This situation makes it very easy for engines to generate large quantities of blue smoke. This situation eliminates the production of blue smoke by releasing excess oil。

    Fault diagnosis and resolution:

    1. Blue smoke on the start engine in chiller state。

    If blue smoke occurs when engines are activated in chiller state, but as engine working hours increase, temperatures rise and blue smoke gradually disappear, it is assumed to be cold car burning oil. This situation is generally due to the ageing of the gas-gate seals, which results in a decrease in the sealing effect, which allows the oil to enter and burn through the gas-gate seals, creating blue smoke, the “negative leak” mentioned above. Blue smoke disappears due to the increase in engine working hours, the rise in engine temperatures and thermal expansion of the gas door, which removes the existing gap between the gas door seals。

    Solutions: this is generally the case in older equipment, when engines need to be dismantled and gas chambers replaced. In general, complete gas-gate seals are replaced。

    2. Blue smoke when engines accelerate。

    If, in the course of the work, there is a sudden increase in loads, an increase in engine oil doors and a large volume of blue smoke in the engine, a preliminary assessment can be made that the gap between the pistons and the cylinders is too large。

    This is due to the fact that the engine is operating under a large gas door, and the oil is passing through the oil casing, through a large gap between the gas tank and the piston or piston ring, entering the gas tank and participating in the combustion, generating large quantities of blue smoke. This situation requires the dismantling of the engine, and then a determination is made as to whether it is due to the large gap between the piston and the cylinder or whether it is due to the oil movement of the piston counterpart。

    Solutions: disassembly the engine with a piston and observe whether the piston is opposite or, if not, adjust the opening position of the piston; if not, measure the gap between the piston and the cylinder and the end of the piston, comparing the actual measurements with the standard values provided by the engine manufacturer, then determine whether new parts are needed. That's what we used to call "go up."。

    The engine is always smoking blue smoke. The large number of blue smokes that appear in engines, regardless of working conditions, proves that the engines have been worn out quite severely and must be overhauled. If repairs are not made in time, there is a high risk that the engine will be pulled, walrused or even scrapped, resulting in even greater losses。
