In order to enhance the operational and safety awareness of the advanced laboratory equipment of the college and to ensure the smooth development of teaching and scientific research and student creativity, the college successfully conducted training on 3 december in the afternoon at the mathematical manufacturing laboratory (b110) on the first floor of sector b of the yunmi building on the subject of laser carving machines and 3d printers. The training, which was given by the director of the academy centre for experiments in creative and design, zi fengxuan, attracted the active participation of several faculty teachers and master's degree in design, level 2023。
The training revolved around two commonly used digital manufacturing devices, laser carving machines and 3d printers, and the system explained the basic principles of equipment work, software operations, on-board processes, safety codes and routine maintenance. In the light of its extensive experience in the management of equipment, zhongxian has vividly demonstrated the full process of operation of the equipment through theoretical discussions and field demonstrations, with emphasis on safety usage norms and common risk-prevention measures。
In the course of training in the use of laser engraving machines, zhong fengxian provided detailed information on the structure of the equipment, applicable materials, parameter setting and banned hazardous materials, as well as a live demonstration of the entire process from document preparation to processing. During the training session on the use of 3d printers, he focused on technical points such as model pre-processing, support settings, the optimization of slice parameters and multi-colour printing, alerting teachers and students to high temperature protection and materials management。
In the course of the training, the students and teachers involved in the training have been listening and interacting with each other and have engaged in in-depth exchanges with phoenix on problems encountered in practice. It has been indicated that this training has not only enhanced the understanding of the performance of the equipment, but has also provided a solid basis for the efficient use of the equipment in future research, teaching and creation。
This training is part of the series of activities on laboratory safety and skills upgrading at the academy of design arts, reflecting the importance the college attaches to experimental teaching safety and the effectiveness of equipment. The college will continue to provide training, continuously upgrading the practical skills and innovation of teachers and students, and contributing to the development and quality of the scientific and technological work of the college。
