Founded in 2007, the company was first hatched in a project at the university of auckland. Wpc (wirreless power consortium), the first global industry standard organization for radio sources, has developed a standard industry standard for low-capacity applications with low-wire charge, known as the qi standard。
In addition to the qi standard, there are two wireless charging standards for pma and a4wp。
