“how does the garbage sort?” “how does the garbage turn into a treasure?” faced with children’s curiosity, on march 10, the city administration’s waste classification guidance centre led the children of north lake primary school into the nuevo land environmental technology company, inc., which opened a new adventure for waste sorting. In recent years, the municipal administration has been actively promoting the project "indulgated publicity + customary formation" and has been working on the theme of "small hands and hands" and on the development of “small supervisors”, which is a microcosm of guidance for children on the classification of waste and the involvement of family members in classification。

At the beginning of the event, the children sat in the conference room and listened carefully to a lively garbage classification course. From the scenes of daily life, staff members gave details of life in plain language and live animation videos the criteria for classification (recycling, hazardous waste, cooking waste, other waste) and the “2+1” classification model being introduced in our city are easy to learn. In response to questions such as “how much garbage is generated every day in the city”, the children raised their hands and there was a warm atmosphere in the classroom。

With the knowledge we have just learned, the students walk into the terminal processing brain, the central control room. Large electronic screens show, in real time, surveillance images and data for the collection, fragmentation, fermentation, biogas generation and so on. "look! Those are the rest of the cooking garbage from our homes, they're transported here, they're treated for power generation or industrial oil, and the children are always astonishing, "well, the garbage is treasure!"
This “class + field” experience of innovation translates abstract knowledge of waste classification into accessible, visible and moving practices. It not only answers the questions in the minds of the children, but also allows them to witness the whole process of the waste being turned into treasure. A small seed of garbage has been planted, with roots and buds in the minds of these teenagers。
