The spring wind is on campus, and it's the first time. For almost a month after the beginning of this semester, we have walked into both urban and rural schools, cruising, conducting in-depth interviews, listening to and witnessing the vivid practice of building healthy schools from top to bottom. From “improve the classroom as much as the classroom” to “sport days”, from the full-time training of psychologists to the integration of health education, schools in all regions actively explore and develop their abilities — a vivid picture of a healthy breeder, accompanied by a sprawl of light。

Making “health first” the bottom of education is not just a temporary promotion, but a policy orientation. In 2018, close-vision control of students was elevated to the level of “the big problem of the future of the nation and nation”; in 2021, five managements of “operations, sleep, mobile phones, readings, physicals” were used to drive human change through small cuts; since then, specialized documents, accompanying construction charts have been issued by various sectors, the pace of policy has continued to accelerate and reforms have been stepped up, and a gradual move from one point to one-point breakthrough to one-system integration has resulted in a consensus of the whole society for healthy children。
It's this consensus that's behind the acceleration of the construction of a healthy school, and that's where we meet in an interview with a warm moment -- walked into the junior high school of nosei city, jiangsu province, where the small space was dynamic, the bells were ringing, the ropes were flipping, the sandbags were dancing, and the laughter continued; the technology and gentleness of the "ai care house" in beijing 10th high school joined the light for the lost youth; and visited henan teacher training university, where the first "super" basketball competition was raging and became the new school sport for students. These dynamic changes, which allow “health first” to fall from paper to the ground, to become a senseable warmth on campus, show the truest form of education。

Behind the warmth is a realistic short set and a deep expectation. All the way, we saw a sign of hesitation, wait and wait — the headmaster said, “no, he didn't want to do it, he didn't want to influence the transition rate”. We heard a resource-deficient, helpless — a village school headmistress who was trying to figure things out with his finger on his head: “a full-time psychologist? There was no staffing, no funding and no proper counselling room was available.” we have also seen or dealt with things, or overstretched “exercise” — some teachers feel that inter-curricular activities, physical education classes take up time and use after-school community time to teach new lessons and catch up; others have only a few lectures and posters, even if they have “finished the task” ... All these types, whether they are “not want to do”, or “not be able to do”, or “not do it right”, make “health first” less likely to land。
These real confusions will be the direction of our ongoing pursuit. The construction of healthy schools is a systematic reshuffle of the school system, the curriculum, the use of space, the evaluation system, which cannot be “scattered” and cannot be done overnight, and in which there is bound to be an intersection of ideas, the exploration of paths and the improvement of systems. However, we firmly believe that every time we confront the problem, it is a step closer to “health first”; every single voice is being kept in the balance for this change. When “health first” is no longer a “understood task”, a slogan hanging on a wall, it is a natural habit to integrate into the classroom, three meals in the morning and morning, when every student can run and open his heart in a school — the most beautiful look of a healthy school — and the direction we always follow。
