First, china's experience and achievements are a demonstration of china's confidence, its commitment and the responsibility of the major powers. For 38 years, china's reform and opening-up had achieved remarkable development achievements, making it the second largest economy in the world today, the largest country trading in goods and the third largest foreign direct investor. China had become an engine of world economic growth, and the direction of its economy was of growing concern to the world. These achievements have changed not only china, but the world as well, and have served to inform national development. Despite the fact that china's reforms have entered the deep water zone and during its offensive period, and that china is adapting to the new economic development paradigm and changing its economic growth pattern, there is still confidence in the future. In his address, president xi made it clear that china would start a new phase of comprehensive and deeper reforms, implement innovative-driven development strategies, promote green development, promote equitable sharing, expand external openness and achieve greater mutual benefits. This statement will send a strong message to the world that china's development prospects will be better and that its contribution to the world will be more and more confident。
Secondly, it should be structured to consolidate the role of the g-20 as an important platform for world economic governance. Eight years ago, the group of twenty (g-20) restored stability to the world economy affected by the international financial crisis. In the face of the current challenges of weak economic recovery in the world, the collapse of globalization, the decline in global trade, the rise of protectionism and the volatility of financial markets, the group of twenty (g-20) has a more demanding and important mission to address not only the short-term crisis but also the medium- and long-term problems facing the world economy and to achieve effective world economic governance. As chairman xi emphasized, “the g-20 has a responsibility to play a leading role, to demonstrate a strategic vision and to chart the way for the world economy”, “the g-20 belongs not only to its 20 members but also to the world”, and “to lead by the times”. It is also for this reason that the participants developed the g-20 global investment guiding principles, filling gaps in the area of international investment and being a milestone in facilitating the g-20's transition from crisis response to long-lasting governance mechanisms. At the same time, participants agreed to strengthen the trade and investment mechanisms of the group of twenty (g-20) and jointly formulate a global trade growth strategy in support of the multilateral trading system. These also demonstrate the wisdom and efforts of china's “little mind rule, big brain rule”。
Thirdly, new ideas and new actions should be promoted. The current g-20 summit had as its theme the construction of an innovative, dynamic, connected and inclusive world economy, advocating new concepts of cooperation and inclusive development. Together, working together and winning together has always been the essence of chinese civilization. Today, humanity forms a community of increasingly close human destiny. You have me and i have you. Cooperation and inclusion are also the foundations of the interconnected world economy advocated at this summit. As chairman xi said, “in the era of economic globalization, countries are developing in a round-the-clock fashion, with all their prosperity and loss. No country can be left alone, and coordination is an inevitable choice: “all well, the world is better”. In addition to inviting members of the group of twenty (g-20), some developing countries were also invited to the summit. The summit, which fully listens to the voices of all countries of the world, especially developing countries, is cooperative and inclusive. At the same time, the promotion of an inclusive and sustainable world economy, taking into account the interests of different industries and groups, is a more inclusive manifestation. This summit is also a summit for action. Chairman xi made it clear that it was to be hoped that the hangzhou summit would build on the past and provide the world economy with a cure for both the root causes and the combination of approaches that would put it on a strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth path. The many plans of action put forward at this summit demonstrate the determination to make the summit “a team of action, not a chat room”. Towards a g20 blueprint for innovative growth to implement 2030Sustainable developmentNone of the agenda's action plans, the reactivation of the group of twenty (g-20) working group on the international financial architecture, was concretely reflected in the summit's plans in the areas of sustainable development, green finance, energy efficiency and anti-corruption, all of which sought to translate each action into reality。
Fourthly, innovation should be promoted and new impetus should be given to the world economy. The concept of innovation is derived from china's own development experience. China's 13th five-year plan clearly defines the concept of innovation, coordination, greenness, openness and shared development, building innovative nations and the world's powerful science and technology powers as urgent requirements for china's development and as necessary. China seeks to implement innovation-driven development strategies around innovation. The chairman noted that “innovation is the key that fundamentally opens the door to growth”. At the initiative of china, the summit identified innovative growth approaches as one of its priorities. The summit contributed to the development of the group of twenty (g-20) blueprint for innovative growth, opening up new areas for the world economy, new growth and a series of concrete action plans in the areas of innovation, the new industrial revolution, the digital economy, etc. At the same time, efforts to bring together countries' innovation policies and create innovative synergies for the world economy have opened a new chapter in the world economy's “innovative growth patterns”。
Fifthly, the issue of development should be given prominence. Over the course of several decades, china had completed the course of development that the developed countries had travelled for hundreds of years and had a wealth of experience in development. For the first time, the g20 summit placed development issues at the centre of the global macro-policy framework, developed a plan of action for the implementation of the sustainable development agenda 2030, cooperated for the first time in supporting the industrialization of african countries and least developed countries, and proposed specific development measures, such as improving access to energy, developing inclusive finance and encouraging youth entrepreneurship. China, as the largest developing country, has played a unique role in shaping and leading the development of this topic, effectively enhancing the voice of developing countries in international discourse。
The g-20 hangzhou summit demonstrated china's wisdom and china's programme to the world, and the summit's new ideas and actions have provided a source of new impetus for future world economic growth, bringing the world economic governance platform to an unprecedented new beginning and height!
