On 16 october, the conference was held in the reporting hall of the science, technology and culture building, on behalf of the three sessions of the sorority of extra-party intellectuals of the jaining college. The meeting was attended by yang nan, president of the xinning city extra-party intellectuals association, and addressed by wang ching minh, deputy secretary-general of the xinning college. The deputy secretary of the party committee of the jaining college, fung jia lei, vice-rector of liu guedong, member of the party committee of the jaining college, minister of general war, zhang yongqiang, and the party secretary of the various sub-units attended the congress. Wang qingming offered four points of hope to the new alliance and to the wider community of outside intellectuals: to strengthen political leadership, to draw a “concentric circle” and to reach a new level of consensus. Focused on a central mission, courageously acting as a “living force” and showing new ground in service development. A new breakthrough in the development of applied talent is achieved by building on the human personality and competing as “leaders”. Deepening self-building, working as a “good pioneer” to achieve a new leap in the activation of organizational effectiveness. The general membership is encouraged to work with a high sense of responsibility and purpose to create a new chapter in the high-level applied undergraduate university。
In his statement, yang expressed full appreciation for the work of the extra-party intellectuals at the jaining college, and expressed the hope that the new council would build on the basis of consensus, be a good thinker and political leader and be able to work together, serve as a think tank for development, be better able to perform social duties and serve as a teacher and student. The city of jeenin informed the federation that, as in the past, it would be interested in and supportive of the construction and development of the jeoning institute and would work together to promote the work of intellectuals outside the party。
The newly elected president of the federation, zhong jingdong, made a statement in which he said that he would unite to lead the membership and contribute wisdom and strength to building high-quality and applied universities around centres and services。
The congress was preceded by a meeting of the extra-party intellectual sorority of the jaining college, at which participants carefully listened to and considered the adoption of the report on the work of the second council, the statute of the extra-party intellectual association of jaining college (revised draft) and the method of the election, which fully recognized the remarkable achievements of the previous council in terms of intellectual leadership, input and service to society. The general assembly elected, by secret ballot, the president of the third board of governors of the chinin college and the vice-presidents of xiao guihua, kondling and liu tao, as secretary-general。
