On the afternoon of june 21st, our school conducted an educational exercise on the theme “death to life, stay out of drowning” in order to effectively enhance student awareness and self-help. Principal li and vice-rector li bin participated throughout the event。
At the beginning of the campaign, the deputy director of the school logistics support centre, liu xiaodong, gave students a lecture on the “six-point-one” of drowning, measures to prevent drowning, methods of self-help during drowning, methods of rescue in the event of drowning, methods of first aid in the event of drowning, etc., as well as on the behaviour and location of drowning。
This was followed by a hands-on exercise on how to rescue and self-help in the event of drowning. First of all, the 1713 class of four students staged an anti-drowning scene show, informing the children present that there was a risk of drowning in the riverside。
Director liu then showed at the scene how those who had drowned should be rescued and advised them to throw life-saving equipment such as life-saving rings and life-saving suits at the drowning. If necessary, the rescuers must ensure their own safety. He also stressed that minors could not go into the water to rescue them, but rather to call for help from the adults around them。
Dr. Wong then demonstrated the need for cpr at the scene and invited students to interact to give them a full understanding of emergency care。

Through this exercise, the educational objective of “death to life, stay away from drowning” was achieved, providing students with basic knowledge about the prevention of drowning and basic methods of self-help and rescue, laying the foundation for the prevention of drowning。
