On 7 january 2026, with the support of kunming city's agricultural and rural directorate, the signing of a contract for the development of industrial cooperation for the ginning of fruit in luyan county was successfully concluded. The institute of agricultural sciences of kunming city (hereinafter referred to as the municipal institute of agricultural sciences) and the rui liang county seed company have formally established technical support cooperation, both as a core initiative for the implementation of the “scientific and agricultural development” strategy and as a practical initiative for the further integration of political science and technology, which will help to upgrade the productive and productive sectors of the poor and enable rural renewal。
Lu liang county, which is a posteriori and a major growth pole for yunnan-based fruit-bearing industries, has formed an industrial cluster of 49,000 acres with a combined value of 290 million yuan, leading to a steady increase in the incomes of thousands of farmers through the “government-led + cooperative + lead enterprise + farmer” model, which has become truly “rich fruit”. However, the lack of good varieties in industrial development, the lack of standardization of seedlings, the lack of technological sophistication and the lack of capacity for chain extension are among the problems. To that end, the kunming city agricultural and rural department has been able to combine the scientific strengths of the city agricultural institute with the industrial needs of the rui liang county and to build efficient and collaborative bridges, both as a means of promoting the development of new quality and productivity in agriculture and as a concrete step towards the transformation of niche agriculture into an intensive science and technology system。
The kunming city institute of agricultural science has long been committed to the development and application of new varieties, technologies and models for human ginning, with better results, and has played an active role in promoting industrial development, agricultural growth and rural revitalization throughout the province.
