What's regenerative rice
The regenerative rice is the first one cut and the second one grows. It doesn't have to plug in, re-eject from the buds in the root. Once in the field, it'll take two。
It looks like a bargain, actually. Regenerative rice requires certain climatic conditions and careful management in order for it to grow well. High temperatures and freezing nights in the south are more suitable for replanting rice, which is cold in the north, which freezes to death before long。
The regenerative rice grows in two steps. The first one is the main season rice in spring and summer. This season is mainly used for breeding, cutting, managing and harvesting. After cutting the rice, leave the rice stake. In some time, the paddy poles will emerge with new buds and a second paddy. This is called regenerative season rice。
It's crucial to grow fresh rice for the first time. If the rice stakes are too weak, the roots are damaged and the buds are not enough, they cannot be collected during the regenerative season。
It's hard to grow rice again
Regenerative rice production is unstable. Someone's got a good plant. Two or three hundred pounds more on an acre. Some people grow badly and cannot see a few grains of rice. There are several main reasons。
One rice is not the right path
It's not all about rice. The normal rice plant has a soft tubing, has a shallow root, has a first cut and is difficult to grow again. It's a kind of regenerative rice that needs to be hardened, spread out and strong. Some specialized varieties of regenerative rice, such as yellow huaiji and the early childhood series, are suitable。
Two cuts are out of control
The cutting of regenerated rice is well conducted. Cut too high and wasted nutrients. It's too low to grow. The appropriate height is between 15 and 20 centimetres of rice piping, which preserves plumes without wasting nutrients。
Three moisture management doesn't keep up
There is a fear of flooding and drought. After the first cut, the field cannot accumulate water, and the soil is too wet to rot. Nor can it be too dry in the field, and it is too dry to grow. After the general harvest, the fields are tanned for a few days and kept wet. Only when the new sprouts grow to five or six centimetres can water start。
Inadequate pest control
Reproduction of rice is more likely to attract pests, especially rice lice and insects. At this time, when the weather is hot, the worms are active and the rice stakes are fresh, the pests are lost. Reproduction of rice requires the use of insecticides and microbicides to combat pests and diseases when the first dose is taken。
Four ways to regenerate rice
Ordinary farmers can try these methods if they want to grow fresh rice。
Method i: selection of rice varieties suitable for renewable rice
Rice is important. It's hard to smoke after normal rice species are cut. When choosing rice species, you have to choose the ones that are strong and resilient. High-quality rice is more suitable for regenerative rice, such as huang huai-juan and yue-63. The first production of these varieties is high, and the second one is highly regenerative. When buying rice, you can ask yourself if it's not suitable to regenerate rice。
Method ii: excision height precision control
Scratch height determines whether re-emergence can grow. At the time of harvesting the first grain, the piping would be 15 to 20 centimetres. That'll make sure there's plenty of sprouts and enough root nutrients. If cut too low, the bud is gone, the rice stake cannot germinate; if cut too high, the rest of the nutrients are wasted, affecting the growth of regenerative rice. The harvester with the cutter will be more accurate。
Method iii: scientific management of moisture from the first harvest
Water is the key to regenerating rice. After the first cut, the field cannot be watered too early. The rice stake requires an adaptation period, during which the soil will remain wet but without water. If the water is put early, the rice pebbles are prone to decay; the water is put late and the bud does not dry out. After re-emerging to five or six centimetres, it starts pouring shallow water. The water level is controlled at one or two centimetres to ensure that the root of the paddy is ventilated。
Method iv: early prevention of pests and diseases
The regenerative season of rice can easily attract pests such as rice ticks and insects. After the first cut, you must use the medication immediately. It is proposed to cover rice stakes and soil surfaces with highly effective and low-toxic insecticides. At the same time, once the re-emergence has grown, a broad spectrum of microbicides will be sprayed to prevent diseases such as rice plague。
The reality of regenerative rice
For ordinary farmers, planting regenerative rice is an attempt. If it's good, it saves more food. If technology does not pass, regenerating rice may not be profitable. Testing can be an option in areas where conditions are appropriate. However, good management, especially of the water and pests, must not be relaxed。
