There are three essential foundations for the learning of buddha — conversion, thought and observance, of which sanbao is the most important. If we cannot convert to the sanbao, there will be no real sense of direction in life, or the true purpose of life will not be set up; when we convert to the sanbao, we will rely on the laws of buddha, and we will think that we will live and practice in accordance with buddha's laws, even if the winds are temporary, and some happiness will be a normal phenomenon and will not impede the aims and direction of the buddha. If we do not convert to sanbao, but envy the outsiders, then it is easy to be confused. For example, seeing a pedagogue's clothing and clothing is simple, or walking with great power, makes him a true knowledge, or even believes that it is a practice. This ignores the essence of the pedagogy, which is the eradication of internal greed, and the development of wisdom and compassion. And when you convert to the sanbao, whatever appearance you see, you'll always be able to rely on the sanbao。
The second foundation is heart. That is to say, to make four big vows, and to have more one-size-fits-all aspirations, which are the driving force behind our entire exercise, called the “wielding power”. If we don't have the will, we'll be in danger. As the saying goes, “anything is right, no matter what happens, it's only possible to practice in the opposite direction. At the beginning of the exercise, we were all mortals, in love and without the support of our will, and it was easy to be washed back by the world's lusts, to continue the life of a man who enjoyed his life in the name of wealth, and whose life could not be raised. Enlightenment is, in fact, a commitment to life, the kind of person we want to be, the kind of value we want to be, the right heart gives us the power to overcome our difficulties and the guarantee that the practice will not be interrupted or reversed。
The third foundation is discipline. When we convert and have a heart, we become a practitioner, so we have to have a conductor's code of conduct, that is to say, discipline. In fact, discipline is about taking a serious and responsible attitude towards ourselves and those around us, with a sense of responsibility for our hearts, and that is the most basic mindset of practitioners. We will not be exposed to any danger if we practice with a disciplined mentality。
All three are the first foundations that any practitioner must have and are the cornerstones of buddhist law. First, you must be a master of zambo, then you must fix forsyood, and you must learn more about the second and the last of the teachings of buddha's law, and you must learn all about it, and then you must work hard. This second arrangement is also largely in line with our present human needs。
The modern people have gone to buddha far away, and the more they are in the era of doom, the more confident they are, the greater the foundation of their practice, so that they will not be able to learn the laws of buddha only by the second degree of faith. Since the dissemination and circulation of information is very convenient in modern societies, television, computers, books and so on make it easy for us to gain access to the law. If you understand it correctly, you will certainly have confidence in a certain door or a certain scripture, and then you will be able to do so in accordance with the law, and you will be able to understand its meaning。
