Recently, the chinese people's university press organized the publication of the knowledge economy age series, which is the first series to address the knowledge economy comprehensively in the country. It focuses on the theoretical exploration of the knowledge economy。
Four volumes, namely, towards an era of the knowledge economy (ed. Ed.), future and development of the thoughts of the knowledge economy (sheikang, chen jian), theory and methods of measurement of the knowledge economy (chang, shekkang), and the pillar of the knowledge economy - the information industry (magic left). As far as the tone of the book is concerned, it has two more salient features: first, it explores the knowledge economy as a new form of society in the history of humankind, examining its origins and development along the lines of the agricultural economy, the industrial economy, the information economy and the knowledge economy, and its manifestations at all levels of society, discussing science and technology as the driving mechanism of social change, looking at the significance of this profound social transformation in the context of marxist history and analysing the future and destiny of china in the face of challenges. Another feature of the series is the exploration of the knowledge-based economy as an economic morphology that has evolved and developed in the economic morphology of the past, and that has gradually revealed the nature and future direction of the economy. On this basis, the theory of measurement and methods of the knowledge economy, as well as the intellectual capital discourse presented by the authors in the series, are representative attempts to analyse and reconcile the knowledge economy with new theory. With its vision and sense of historical responsibility, china's people's university press has published a series of books on the age of the knowledge economy, which seeks to examine more systematically the characteristics of the new era we face and the responses we need to take。
