In a vacuum system, the vacuum system elements used to change the direction of the air flow, regulate the size of the air flow, and cut off or connect to the pipe are called vacuum valves。
The role of vacuum valves in vacuum systems is:
(1) as shown in figure 1, when valves 1 and 4 are closed and valves 2 open, mechanical vacuum pump iii is vacuuming container i and flow is pre-emptive; when valves 2 are closed and valve 4 is open, the mechanical pump is able to pump vacuums in isolation from the diffuse pump; when valves 1 and 4 are open simultaneously, the diffuse pump and mechanical pump can work simultaneously to empty the container, while the flow is diffused. (3) as figure 2 shows, there is a small volume hole in the cavity of the glass valve, which is filled with high pressure gas when it turns to the right and high pressure cylinders; when it turns to the left and to the vacuum container, the volume of high pressure gas is placed in the container, thus acting as a quantitative charge。
