In today's environment, the shortage of resources and environmental degradation have become very prominent throughout the country. The rational development and use of renewable energy sources has become a hot spot of general concern. Wind energy, as a non-polluting renewable energy source, has great potential for development, and the wind energy industry has become a mature and promising industry in the new energy sector. Wind-speed and ultrasound wind-speed sensors are also widely applied。

1. Wind-speed wind-direction sensor applications
Wind speed and wind direction sensors are widely used in wind power generation. The kinetic energy of the wind is converted to mechanical kinetic energy, which is then converted to electrodynamic energy, known as wind power generation. The rationale for wind power generation is to rotate the wind-driven windmill blades and then accelerate the rate of rotation through the speed multipliers, prompting generators to generate electricity。
Although wind generation is extremely environmentally friendly, the lack of stability in wind generation makes wind generation more expensive than other energy sources. Therefore, in order to better control the generation of wind generators, accurate and timely wind direction and speed measurements are required to control the wind generators. In addition, the location of the wind field would require advance forecasting of wind speed and direction to provide a reasonable basis for analysis. Therefore, accurate measurements of wind parameters using wind speed and direction sensors are important in wind power generation。

2. The principles of wind speed and direction sensors
(1) mechanical wind speed and wind orientation device
Mechanical wind speed sensors are divided into wind speed sensors and wind direction sensors because of their mechanical axis:
Wind speed sensor
The wind speed sensor of the mechanical structure is a sensor capable of continuously measuring the wind speed and volume (the volume = the area of wind speed interception). The more common wind-speed sensors are wind cup-like wind-speed sensors, first invented by robinson in england. The measurement component consists of three or four hemispheric-shaped air cups, which are vertically installed on the rotary stairwell at an angle along one direction。
Wind direction sensors
Wind-to-wind sensors are rotated along the wind towards the arrow and are transmitted to the same axle-coded disc, while simultaneously exporting the physical instruments corresponding to the wind; their main object is the mechanical structure of the wind-director, which points to the direction of the wind when the wind blows to the tail of the wind-director. In order to maintain sensitivity to direction, different internal mechanisms are used to identify the direction of wind speed sensors。
