Thermal balloons are based on a very basic scientific principle: the hot air rises above the cold air, it is the earliest airborne carrier of mankind, 120 years before the aircraft invented by the united states wright brothers。
The first hot balloon in the world was created in 1783 by the french mongophil brothers, inspired by rising paper ash in the furnace. In june 1783, they carried out their first open air balloon flight in history, and when the smoke rolled into the balloon, the balloon flew nearly 1,000 metres and 2 kilometres, fulfilling for the first time the human dream of flying blue skies。
Following this flight, the mongophil brothers reported their achievements to the paris academy of sciences. The academy decided to sponsor balloon research, instead of giving money to the mongofield brothers, to the young physicist professor charlie. Then charlie made the world's first hydrogen balloon using hydrogen gas and rubber-coated silk. But the balloon exploded shortly after the first test。
