Both the guidelines for the assessment of air quality in cars and the standards for indoor air quality require formaldehyde concentrations not to exceed 0. 10 mg/m3, which are limited to volatilization within a vehicle for 16 hours, while the latter is limited to an average value of one hour, which is significantly lower than the internal air quality assessment standard。
