The phrase “green with black” in emeralds is a line taken by the jade merchants in relation to the characteristics of the jade plume in their dealings. “green” means the key indicator of the quality of emeralds in emeralds — green and black — the black impurity minerals in emeralds, that is to say, the “gills” in emeralds; and “green follows black” refers mainly to the appearance of green emeralds in jade beads, which may be accompanied by the emergence of black “gills”。

The origin of the original emeralds goes through approximately four phases, i. E. Rock formation, jade formation, masonry formation and deformation, which are important stages in the formation of jade and jade formation, and hard jade formation, which makes the jade landscape more nuanced and luminous, which also leads to the generation of green greener colours and the formation of high-quality jade stones. When emeralds are made, they go through two stages, icy and deformation, which are the transformational stages of emeralds, which are also the underlying causes of the “green-blacking”。

    The stage

In the late stages of emerald formation, long-term emerald hard jade rock in high-pressure environments has the effect of deforming and creating some size cracks. Because of the thick and loosely morphous emerald particles formed in the masonry phase, the deformation process manifests resilience and the cracks are relatively small; the emerald crystals formed in the majestic phase are thin and condensed, and the deformation process is mainly fragile and prone to cracks (figure 1); at the same time, the emeralds formed in the masonry phase are relatively soft, and the emeralds formed in the jade phase are relatively hard, and during the deformation process, the hard and soft boundary between the two are often more easily produced. In other words, the cracks resulting from the deformation process are mainly found in the emeralds of the emeralds of the propagation phase and in the junction of the emeralds of the propagation phase。

    Figure 1

The emergence of cracks has led to late-stage water solutions containing fe and mg components entering the emerald rock along these faults, responding to hard jade minerals, forming parts of the water-free rough jade minerals into dark green — black water-bearing angglomerates, or what we call “paragus” (figure 2). This is the stage of emerald formation。

    Figure 2

Because the cracks are mainly in the emeralds of the majestic stages and the junction of the majestic stages, green emeralds are mainly the products of the majestic stages. So that the main part of the crack, which is the central part of the green emerald, is there, or is accompanied by it. This has led to the formation of dark green-black amphibian minerals (i. E. “things”) in late-stage water solution reactions involving fe and mg components, either mainly in the area of green emeralds or accompanied by green emeralds (figure 3), which is the reason for what is termed “green with blackness”。

    Figure 3

However, according to the order of formation, green is the product of the pyramid phase, which takes place first, while the dark green-black “silver” is the product of the pyramid phase, which takes place later. Therefore, the real rationale should be “black and green”, i. E., where the presence of green emeralds tends to be accompanied by the emergence of black “things” (figure 4)。

    Transformation phase

The deformation phase is the intense plastic deformation process that follows the emerald hard jade rock phase and is subject to further stress. Plastic deformations can transform the various colours of emeralds and black "single" pulls into one another, creating emeralds characterized by a combination of white, green emeralds and black "single" in a directional strip (figure 5), while also creating more "dry" cracks (figure 6). This type of emerald is generally referred to as “the new jade”。

Figure 6, directed strips of emerald and "dry" cracks

The masonry phase, the jade phase, the platinum phase and the deformation phase are the four journeys that the original jade has gone through, but not all of them. In emerald wool, it is possible that only the masonry phase has been followed, with the formation of rough, dry, white-based and low-value emerald hard rock; in some cases, with the formation of a good water, good quality and high-quality emerald rock (figure 7); in others, not only the mammal phase and the pomegranate phase, but also the platinum phase, as well as the deformation phase, although high-quality emerald stones have emerged during the masonry and pyre phase, but with the transformation of the emerald phase and the deformation phase, there will be a black “mether” and “dry” cracks that will have a clear impact on the quality of the emerald (figure 8)。

So the black walks with green reminds us that when trading for emerald plume, when there is green on the plume, due consideration should be given to the possibility that there may be hidden black “shells” with which there can be no overestimation, resulting in a “falling” error, and that when large “shells” appear, careful analysis should also be given to the possibility of a green presence, possibly by buying it at a low price, and by cutting open greens (figure 9)
