    Chapter i general provisions

    Article 3. An applicant cannot be awarded a degree if:

    (i) the offence or political review is not qualified。

    In-service post-graduate thesis

    Master's degree

    (i) graduates who have completed their master's degree studies, completed the studies prescribed by this programme of professional development, submitted their degree thesis, were recommended by a mentor, approved by the college (centre) review, and reached the academic level of the master's degree in science and of the professional master's degree thesis through pre-drafting of the degree thesis and testing of academic misconduct, and applied for a master's degree to the school degree committee through the branch of the degree of the institution (centre)。

    (ii) if a post-graduate post-graduate post-graduate degree is not awarded to an out-of-school establishment and an incumbent applies to my school for a master's degree, the provisions of this chapter shall apply, unless otherwise specified。

    Article 10 master's degree programme

    (i) subjects and requirements of the master's degree examination

    Article 11 master's degree thesis

    (i) basic requirements for master's degree thesis

    If the directing teacher agrees to be recommended and the academy (centre) agrees to participate in the defence of thesis, it must, in accordance with the regulations, be able to defend its organization by pre-responding, testing academic misconduct and expert evaluation (including a double-blind review of no less than 30 per cent of the master's degree thesis), and submit the list of applicants for the degree to the graduate institute。

    Article 12 work and procedure for the defence of master's degree thesis

    (i) upon acceptance of the application for a defence by the sub-committee on the assessment of degrees of the college (cites), the college (cites) shall appoint three experts in the field of dissertation, one of whom shall be an expert from an out-of-school unit, to serve as a reviewer of thesis in the case of papers that are not subject to the procedure of double-blind evaluation.     (iii) composition and terms of service of the respondent committee

    1. The experts of the committee for the defence of master's dissertations shall normally consist of three to five persons, of whom one must be a relevant expert from an out-of-school unit. In order to reflect the characteristics of the integration of the disciplines of my school or of the theoretical and the practical, a more theoretical dissertation committee must include an expert from a cross-college interdisciplinary or academic background. The committee for the defence of dissertations in more substantive disciplines and master's degree studies must include an expert with a high-level professional technical position in the field of practice outside the relevant industry.     2. The commission shall have a chairman, who shall be a professor, associate professor or expert of equivalent title, and a secretary to assist in the conduct of the proceedings.     The members of the commission and the reviewers of the papers shall normally be professors, associate professors or experts of comparable title. Lecturers with advanced academic qualifications may also act as respondent members, as approved by the school degree assessment committee, as postgraduate mentors. However, there can be only one lecturer per dissertation committee and one presenter per applicant. Experts from substantive departments outside the school should have more than five years of work experience in this substantive area, except that they should meet the basic conditions for cooperative mentors outside the school。

    4. Within one week of the acceptance of the application for a degree, each house shall submit a list of the examiners of the dissertation, the respondent committee and its chairperson and file a copy of the degree. The list of commentators and the committee for the defence of dissertation shall not be previously communicated to the applicant and shall be made public at the session for the defence of dissertation. Each college shall appoint persons to communicate with the presenters and members of the committee for the defence of the papers. Applicants are not allowed to communicate directly with them before replying。

    (iv) procedures for the preparation of dissertations

    1. The applicant shall, within a specified period of time, submit to the sub-committee for the assessment of degrees of the college (centre) each of 10 papers and abstracts of the papers that have been printed。

    2. The faculty (centre) degree awards committees distribute papers and abstracts of papers to the presenters and members of the commission no later than three weeks before the presentation of the papers。

    Thesis shall be heard within the time limit set by the school. The applicant, the respondent committee and the person concerned shall be notified of the exact time and place of reply one week in advance, and shall file for the degree。

    Article 13

    (i) an applicant who has been authorized to participate in the defence of a degree dissertation shall be required to do so at the prescribed time and to waive his or her capacity to do so automatically in his or her absence without cause; if he or she requests a change in the date of reply owing to exceptional circumstances which prevent him or her from doing so, he or she may do so with the consent of the respondent and with the approval of the headmaster of the school. Its composition and procedures are governed by the provisions of article 12 of this formula。

    (ii) the committee on the defence of dissertations must uphold the different standards set by the various disciplines, ensure quality, strictly maintain customs and preserve the reputation of degrees, in accordance with the different types of degrees. The various degree dissertations can neither be reduced nor wrongly requested and treated as scientific degree thesis standards。

    (iii) the defence of the paper is democratic and open to academic opinion. The hearings are generally conducted in public and the persons concerned, both inside and outside the school, may be present.     (iv) the defence of the papers shall be done on a case-by-case basis and shall be decided separately. The response time for each master's degree is normally not less than one hour; in principle, the number of persons who participate in and complete a full day's response for each committee must not exceed 10. The number of persons who, for exceptional reasons, need to be exceeded must be approved and registered in advance through the degree offices of the colleges (centres)。

    The secretary shall normally keep a full electronic recording of the record. Electronic audio files are posted through the colleges (centres) for uploading or delivery of their degrees after the defence sessions have been completed。

    (v) proceedings for the defence session

    1. Opening of the meeting by the chairman of the commission。

    2. Information on the applicant's studies and the conduct of scientific research, essay writing, etc., is provided by the mentor teacher or a member of the mentor group commissioned by the mentor teacher。

    3. Introduction of the main elements of the paper by the applicant, highlighting his/her own insights and issues for clarification (not exceeding 30 minutes)。

    4. Questions requiring a reply were raised by the commission with the applicant. Applicants may prepare their defence within a period not exceeding 30 minutes。

    5. The applicant responds to questions raised by consulting the data and documentation allowed to enter the session; answers must be concise, concise and accurate.
