In keeping with the spirit of the ministry of education's circular on action to promote energy-reducing schools (dds 19), the higher education department of the ministry of education organizes a national competition on social practices and science and technology for energy-reducing education for university students. The competition, which revolves around the country's major needs, such as the two-carbon strategy, is based on a high starting point, a large size and a wide range of products, with the direct leadership of the ministry of education and the active collaboration of a wide range of institutions of higher learning. It is a national competition of leading, exemplary and popular students。
In order to guide and motivate students to be realistic, hard-working, innovative, productive and qualitative, and to develop their innovative spirit and practical skills, and on this basis, to promote the development of social practices and extracurricular science and technology activities among students, and to identify and develop a pool of high-quality students with a potential to be active in academic science and technology, work is being collected from students throughout the school, and the selection of creative, innovative and outstanding works represents my school in the provincial and national competitions for energy-reducing social practices and technology in 2026. The theme of the competition is closely linked to the physical production (including models), software, design and social practice studies, which reflect new ideas, principles, methods and technologies。
The competition works fall into two categories: social practice and scientific and technological work。

Iii. Target audience
1. Full-time undergraduate, master's and doctoral students are available at my school, with no qualifications for colleges, professions or grades, and multi-grade and multidisciplinary teams are encouraged。
2. The contestants must be in groups of up to seven persons each, each team employing no more than three mentors, if three mentors, one of whom must be an enterprise technician or cross-cutting teacher。
3. In order to ensure the quality of the work and the participation of students, no more than two projects per student have been declared, and no more than two works per mentor。
4. Declaration of works: the entries must have been completed after 1 may 2025, and those that have received awards for more than (including) provincial disciplines are not allowed to compete。
Iv. Programme and organization of the competition
1. Declaration of works: each team is invited to submit to xtu jnjp2024@163. Com by 12 noon on 10 march 2026 (mail title: title of the title of the work + name of the team leader + 20mb of the team leader's college) to xtu jnjp2024@163. Com (due follow-up notice). Related materials include:
1) a statement of commitment to participate in the competition (see annex 1, scanner of the signed version; letterbox of the signed paper to the experimental centre on the third floor of the mechanical building)
2) a summary of the entries (see annex 2)
3) the declaration, the statement and the report of the network for the identification of works (see annex 3, annex 4 for works of social practice; annex 5, annex 6 for works of science and technology; annex 3, annex 5 for instruction of teachers and students participating in competitions, and no seal for the functional sector of the school and no recommendation form c for submission)。
The team must complete the work and submit it on time, as required, within a specified time frame。
It is important that the information on the work in the above materials (including the ranking of teachers and students) be consistent. In case of inconsistency, the information on the undertaking shall prevail。
2. Evaluation of works: the commission of experts will conduct a first-instance screening of works in mid-march 2026 and finals in late march/early april。
3. According to provincial pre-notifications, works of the provincial competition were submitted by 15 april 2026 and finals of the provincial finals in mid-may。
V. Evaluation of works and places
The organizing committee engaged experts on the evaluation committee for the current competition to evaluate the work at first instance and in situ, on the basis of criteria such as its scientific, feasibility, innovativeness and economic nature, and to award first, second and third prizes. The best works will be recommended for the fourth competition on social practices and technologies for energy-saving emission reductions for university students in hunan province and the nineteenth national competition on social practices and technologies for energy-saving emission reductions for university students。
