Today (26) the beijing court of intellectual property has issued 10 typical examples of intellectual property rights in the area of science, technology and innovation, ranging from standard necessary patents, computer software cases, to new varieties of plants; civil and administrative cases; both substantive and procedural; and traditional technological areas such as chemistry, photovoltaic, and new technological areas such as wireless communications, big data。

According to do changhui, full-time member of the trial committee of the beijing court of intellectual property, we often use navigational electronic maps, for example, but this is also a new issue in the current legal protection of electronic maps, so we have one of these cases concerning whether or not the rights related to electronic maps have been infringed. Because of such a case, which, through our deliberations, makes it clear that a navigational electronic map can constitute a work in the sense of copyright law, and because of the data associated with the electronic map, we have also determined that it is of economic value and should be protected by law. The protection of intellectual property rights is the protection of science, technology and innovation, and today, through the publication of 10 typical examples of science, technology and innovation, it is a signal to society that the protection of intellectual property rights through intellectual property trials will be enhanced and, on the other hand, it will regulate the healthy development of the enterprises concerned。

It is known that the beijing intellectual property court, the country's first intellectual property court, has been in operation for six years and has handled nearly 110,000 cases of various types of intellectual property, an average annual increase of 21 per cent. A large number of cases that have a significant impact on science, technology and innovation at home and abroad have been brought to justice and have become a front-line force for the protection of innovation. The technical areas of the cases involved a new generation of strategic and emerging industries such as information technology, biotechnology, new energy sources, new materials, high-end equipment and green environment, as outlined in the “xiv5” plan.
