On 26 october, the launch of the first aid and promotion initiative (first phase) at the national college of higher education was held in qingdao. At the conference, my school was awarded the first “cooperative unit for universalization of first aid education”, another important recognition of the exemplary and influential role of first aid education in schools, following my enrolment in the ministry of education's “third national pilot school for first aid education”, which also marks a new stage in the development of my first aid education。
As a medical school based on “local, high-level, distinctive and applied”, our school has always made it a central responsibility to serve society, to protect life and to systematize the work of first aid. In schools, schools are being used as vehicles for activities such as the “ray for new generation education” and “red cross youth activity month” and regularization of emergency care training and health literacy, covering not only core first aid skills such as cpr, heimrick law, but also public goods such as free blood donation, anti-drug prevention and care, and the deeper integration of first aid education with value orientation. Over the past three years, schools have developed a series of activities of this kind, the results of which have been reported in the mainstream media, such as the people's daily news and the chinese education journal, and the emergence of typical examples such as “student wang i has successfully saved the lives of his family by using the knowledge of first aid in the school”, which vividly confirms the effective transformation of educational outcomes into the guardian of reality。
While building on the basics of training in schools, schools have continued to expand the social radiation range of first aid education using the “three ones” - this means that no fewer than a hundred social practice teams are organized every year, that no fewer than a thousand people are involved in education and training in emergency care, and that no less than a thousand people are involved in the training. In 2024, 100 social teams for emergency care were set up in schools; in 2025, plans were made to expand the number of teams to 128, reaching all 118 districts and municipalities in henan province, and to bring specialized first aid knowledge to primary and secondary schools, community squares, factory enterprises and other grass-roots scenes in the form of “local language + field teaching”. To date, the services have reached more than 110,000 beneficiaries, not only giving the red cross “humanity, fraternity, dedication” its roots in the service society, but also creating innovative models for the deeper integration of local applied medical institutions with the red cross。
The national pilot school for first aid education has been awarded the title, and has become the “saving the side, campus first” partnership for public service action, which is a double-honored recognition of my previous first aid education and gives schools new responsibilities and mission. In the future, schools will use this as a new starting point for further deep, practical and broad first aid education, while maintaining the safety of their schools, to continuously sow the seeds of first aid knowledge to society, and to contribute more “waiting power” to the regional public's development of “healthy china” as a means of improving first aid nutrition。
