In order to follow up on the requirements of the year of capacity-building for district-wide institutions, the regional agricultural and rural directorates have planned, arranged, mobilized and implemented early on. Starting on 22 march, they have organized a programme for the socialization of animal diseases to reach out to the townships and villages, provide intensive and compulsory vaccination of livestock and animals, and carry out a comprehensive campaign to prevent and control the disease in the spring。
In the family home of one farmer in the village of toyoshi, the epidemiological personnel wear protective clothing, carry sprayers, and completely disinfect the farmer's yard and zodiacs. At the same time, vaccinations such as foot-and-mouth disease are given free of charge to livestock farmers, information leaflets on the prevention and control of diseases such as the african swine plague are distributed to farmers, the prevention and control of disease in the spring are firmly established, and the “preventive battle” of the spring animals is carried out。
Under the provincial and municipal compulsory immunization programmes, the regional agricultural and rural directorates are known to have spent rmb 1. 13 million on the national animal vaccination subsidy, and have sought rmb 610,000 for the pre-procurement of compulsory vaccinations such as 1 million ml of foot-and-mouth disease, 1. 3 million ml of avian influenza, 150,000 head of swine plague, 400,000 head of sheep and sheep pox, 350,000 head of sheep pox, 800,000 plumes of new city disease, and anti-sterilisation drugs. After more than a month of fighting, a total of 4,455,000 head of swine, cow, sheep and foot disease have been immunised, 23. 25 million sheep, 110,59,000 feathers of chickens, ducks and goose flu, 125,000 head of swine plague, 81,09 million feathers of chickens and 23,225 sheep pox have been fully immunized。
As a next step, the regional agricultural and rural directorates will focus on conducting immunization “supplied” and immuno-impact evaluations, and on ongoing awareness-raising campaigns on the prevention and control of animal diseases such as sterilisation months and african swine plagues and anthrax。
