Today is 21 may 2026。
Twenty-six years ago today, an old 93-year-old man passed away in beijing. He left a letter written in the late 1990s, 32 words short, which is still a shock:
“there is no shame in being alive. The flowers are falling and the water is running. I don't care who's resting. The moon is clear, no search."
He's cho park chun. Many people are used to calling him "pok park" — a well-known name: when the shanghai friends association was founded in 1938, zhao park, as a 31-year-old president, always referred with respect to his older colleague as “some old person”. One of the elders, who he called the "sniffing of langham," listened to langting and said, "this is zhao park." since then, the nickname of a bit of a joke has been circulated, and since then, with his age, everyone has become accustomed to honoring him as zhao park。

In 1993, zhao was with the former head of the hong kong buddhist union, the zhu guangxian
By reading his death, you can feel the cynicism and the perdition: life and death are blooming, life are running like water, and the real world is not afraid of death or of the coming. But you probably don't know what it's been like to write these eight sentences。
A young man from henlin. Destiny
On 5 november 1907, zhao park jun was born in anhui anqing, a prominent book family. Zhao's father was han lin for four generations, and tai gao zhao wenyu was ka qing yuen, who had been ordered to send ryu. There is no one in the history of the qing dynasty for more than 200 years。
But it's his mother, chen hui, who truly shapes park's mental background. Mothers are well known and religious buddhists. Zhao park was small, under the influence of his mother, and felt close to buddhism. In accordance with the ancient teachings, his father named him "parking up" after "returning to the trueness and integrity of the peace"。
In 1920, xiaochu zhao, aged 13, left his home town for shanghai to study and was admitted to dong wu university in suzhou. During the university period, he began to have real contact with buddhists and later explored the teachings of buddhist religions. In the autumn of 1935, the zhao zhu zhu zhou zhou zhou zhou zhou zhou zhou zhou zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu was officially converted to the buddha gate and became a resident at home. The four generations of hanlin's talents have since taken a different path。

In the winter of 1952, zhao park xiaoyu and the master won-yeong and the master myung-hyun were photographed together
The buddha in the war: saving 500,000 refugees people
In 1937, the “eighty-three” war broke out and shanghai became a purgatory. Numerous refugees have been displaced, crowded around streets, crying and tearing their hearts apart. Zhao park yi, who was in charge of the shanghai federation of charitable organizations, stood up。
One thing is enough to show his courage and commitment. On the night and the day after the outbreak of the fighting, a large number of refugees had arrived in front of donji. In the afternoon, a heavy bomb fell from the gates of the world, killing many pedestrians. The refugees, however, did not run, and they took care of the old and the young and became homeless. In the dark, zhao park zheng and his friend, wu dae-hyun, came out of the gate with a red cross flag and said to the refugees: “you come with us!” hundreds of refugees followed them silently, overnight, to more than a dozen places。
Over the next three or four years, his organization had set up more than 50 shelters, hosting more than half a million refugees. The refugees were deeply moved to call him “the buddha rebirth”。
Even more encouraging is the fact that, in the name of “immigrants who have left the country”, he has sent trained young and middle-aged people, in batches, to the four new forces, in kanan, sunan and su north, for a total of more than 1,000 people, including more than 20 students from the shelter for children in need. This was subsequently praised by the central party。
He wrote a poem for these young men, and the last two words were: “with the bow of the sun, to be seen.”

In november 1956, zhao xiaojio accompanied the second and third presidents of the chinese buddhist association, mr. Xie yuen gatso, to visit nepal
He's a buddhist leader, but he's more than "reading."
Many listen to “buddhist leaders” and the first reaction may be “old monks who eat the buddha of ramadan”. But the greatest contribution of cho is to “please” buddhism out of the scriptures and temples so that it can truly enter the world。
At the end of 1980, zhao park was elected president of the chinese buddhist association. In 1983, in his report on the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the chinese buddhist association, he explicitly promoted the idea of “true buddhism among mankind” and proposed that buddhism should “purify itself by adopting the five rings and ten kinds, and broaden it to six degrees to the benefit of the population” and consciously take up the task of building a clean land among the people, contributing light and heat for the modernization of socialism。
To put it simply, buddhism cannot simply be “born” rather than “acceded”, but concerned with reality and serving society. In the 1980s, buddhism formally became the guiding philosophy of buddhism in mainland china, with strong support from the buddhist community, the government and all sectors of society, thus opening the curtain for the revival of buddhism in the mainland。

October 1981, zhao's junior and 10th master ban zheng were in beijing
Under his leadership, the chinese buddhist community implemented religious policies after the “brother” and a large number of monasteries were reopened and the buddhist education system was gradually established. He has also been active in promoting the exchange of buddhist culture between chinese and foreign, as a pioneer in “buddhist diplomacy”。

It shows that in february 1987, zhao was with the qiu jiuji zhou and the qiu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhu zhui zhou zhou
He recalled that when he visited the mainland twice, almost 90 per cent of the places where buddhist temples or buddhist relics were displayed had the title and title of zhao zhou, and that most of the buddhist books published were prefaced by him。

The figure is that, in april 1991, zhao was with the são zhiqi。
Master nebula met zhao park xiaochu for the first time in thailand in 1987 and spoke to him late at night. Master nebula later recalled: “i think that he is just like a family of kindness, like the elders, full of piety and faith in buddhism. I also have leaders in chinese buddhism, and the future of buddhist renaissance is within reach.”

It shows that on 2 april 1994, park was in nanjing with the zongcheng nebula wizard of fu guangshan。
He's talented, but clean and simple
Jo park's talent goes far beyond buddhism。
He's a great calligraphy by mr. Zhang. He's got a lot of power in his fonts. In 1993, he was elected the fifth president of the 100-year-old west indies society. His poems are a collection of drills and stones, which are widely celebrated. He also served as vice-president of the china calligraphy association and member of the chinese writers association。

In october 1993, zhao was with the former vice-president of the chinese buddhist association, master lon li
But he is known for his integrity. Prime minister zhou enlai praised him as a “national treasure”. And he was never absent in the face of every kind of disaster. In 1998, the country was hit by an extraordinary flood, and the 91-year-old zhao park jun, together with qingung and others, launched a disaster relief book-sellering campaign to spearhead the donation of good writings。
His family, zhao xian, wrote: “remembering him as a man of patriotism, a man of fear, a man of death and a man of sacrifice for his country's prosperity. He is remembered for his work, for his life, for his blood, for his mitts, for his poverty, and for his love.”

This figure shows that in july 1998 zhao was with the former senior general of the advisory council of the chinese buddhist association
In 2004, 90 people from zhao park returned to their homeland and were buried in zhao park cheuk cultural park, the former town of the temple of anhui. He was raised in the mountains。
Go back to the opening eight phrases. Zhao park wrote, “tomorrow, the moon is clear, not searching for it”, perhaps saying that true spirituality does not need to be pursued deliberately, in every good choice, in every moment of help to others, in every act of “in the spirit of the birth of the human being”。

And master nebula was with him in forgotten times. That night in bangkok, the two men talked about how to unite buddhistism on both sides of the straits and how to work together to promote “buddhistism”. The master later recalled, "i am impressed by zhao park."
Twenty-six years have passed. So they took their journey to the moon, and the wind was full. The flowers are falling, the water is flowing — some have left, but never really gone。
