    Institutional and staffing provisions within key responsibilities

    In accordance with the state council's notice on establishments (state notification 2008) no. 11), establishing the national directorate of press and publications (national copyright authority) (at the official ministerial level) as a direct organ of the state council。

    I. Revision of functions

    Principal responsibilities

    (vii) printing and distribution management division。

    Preparation of planning for the printing, reproduction, distribution units, structure and layout of publications; supervision of the publication, printing, reproduction and distribution of publications, organization of the inspection of serious violations of publications and major violations of the law; state audit of restrictions on the import of printing equipment; organization of guidance for the production and distribution of important documents, priority publications and textbooks of the party and the state; promotion of public services in the field of press and publishing, and guidance and organization of the implementation of the agricultural and community bookhouse projects。

    (ix) anti-illegal and prohibited publications division (national “smuggling africa” office)。
