On 2 may, the national map knowledge competition was officially launched for the first time for all primary and secondary school students. The event was organized by the ministry of natural resources' centre for information and education, and the organization of the hong kong race area was the responsibility of the magazine. The competition, which is supported by the hong kong special administrative region's fish and agriculture nature care agency, the hong kong history museum, the hong kong federation of educators and the china centre for educational exchange (hong kong), will be open to all primary and secondary school students from this date until 31 may through the “taiwan” platform. In particular, the competition was sponsored by the chinese life (overseas) to support young people in hong kong to spread national knowledge and to strengthen patriotism education。
The national map knowledge competition is one of the activities of the ministry of education's list of national competitions for students in the year 2022-2025 (commonly known as the white list competition of the ministry of education). This year, for the first time in hong kong, a competition was held to provide hong kong students with knowledge of the national map and to promote national awareness and national pride. The topics covered include knowledge of national drawings, natural resources, history and culture, human geography, and general education. The first, second and third prizes will be selected on the basis of the students' achievements in online competitions, the teacher of excellence award, the school of excellence award, and the category 4 prizes for the title “national guardian of maps”。
The event was free of charge for all primary and secondary school students, and on 14 april the hong kong sai district organizing committee issued an invitation to participate in more than 1,000 primary and secondary schools across hong kong. During the competition (2 may-31 may), students can register themselves or through a single school。
In april, the journal knowledge published a special issue on the theme of the national atlas knowledge competition as a reference for the competition. The ministry of natural resources, in conjunction with the educational resources provided by the centre for the promotion of education, disseminates to students the national map and geographical knowledge of the relevant disciplines, including articles on the subject of competition testing, learning skills and thematic studies, and disseminates competition feature reports on the background of competitions, their content, the award of students, etc. In this competition, the hong kong organizing committee provides students with information on the competition。
