Marxism has been the guiding light for human and social development since its inception. But after the dramatic transformation of eastern europe and the break-up of the soviet union, the emergence of various marxist failures, outdated theories and useless theories has been questioning whether marxism will continue to guide progress in human development. Indeed, these arguments are the product of a semi-literate or distorted reading of marxism. A thorough and in-depth study of marxism would reveal that the so-called “marxist failure” was a hypocritical proposition。
Marxist science works and never fails. According to comrade xi, “no matter how times change and how science advances, marxism still shows the power of scientific thought and still holds the high ground of truth and morality”. In the twenty-first century, marxism continues to guide the search for an overview of the patterns of human social development and an understanding of the changing trends of today's world. According to the so-called “marxist failures”, marxism is no longer able to explain or resolve human social problems in today's highly developed capitalist world, and marxism has failed. What is wrong with this view is the failure or unwillingness to recognize the scientific nature of the marxist theoretical system. However, it is precisely scientific that determines that marxism never fails. As a system of scientific theory, marxism has highly unified the dialectics and materialism, the natural and historical perspectives of materialism, and has ushered in a new era of human awareness through the profound intellectual logic of materialism and historical materialism, a critical system of thinking, and a comprehensive system of scientific thinking that sheds profound light on the general patterns of the development of natural, human society and human thinking. Marxism is both a world view and a method, and its positions, views and approaches are at all times a powerful ideological weapon for humankind to understand and transform the world。
Marxism is open and inclusive and will never be obsolete. According to the so-called “marxist outdated theory”, marxism is merely an age-specific theory that can only guide social practice at that time and is now outdated. Indeed, marxism has evolved with the development of time and practice and is an open and inclusive theoretical system. This in no way makes it obsolete. Marxism does not end the truth, but rather opens the way to it. It is not a rigid “absolute system”, not a dead dogma. Marxism is age-oriented and never more than a conclusion. A marxist development history is also an innovation that has evolved over time. Max and engles have been learning new experiences, exploring new issues and creating new ones all their lives. As a marxist party, the communist party of china (cpc) has maintained theoretical innovation in revolutions, construction and reform. It has moved forward with the marxist chinaization that has led to major theoretical innovations, such as mao zedong's idea, deng xiaoping's theory, the “three-representatives” idea, the scientific development concept, and xi jinping's new-era china-specific socialist ideology. It has been shown that marxism will never become obsolete as long as it is based on the times, looks at them, interprets them, leads them, and insists on openness and inclusion。
Marxism's quest for human happiness will never be useless. Marxism is a knowledge of happiness for the vast majority of people. According to comrade xi, “marxism stands for the liberation of peoples and the defence of their interests in order to achieve free and comprehensive human development and the liberation of all human beings as its own responsibility, reflecting humanity's vision of an ideal society”. According to the so-called “marxismismism of uselessness”, marxism, which advocates a working-class movement and a violent revolution, has become a useless idea in a time when peace and development are the themes of the times and class differences are becoming increasingly different. Not to say that there is a mistake in its understanding of the status of class in today's world, but the error in this discourse is that it does not understand the noble quest of marxism. Indeed, the usefulness and the extent of a theoretical system of thought depends, in addition to its scientific nature and its truth, on the pursuit of its values. Marxism is the value of achieving free and comprehensive human development and human well-being. Throughout history and in reality, the marxists have persisted in their quest for the truth of human well-being in practice, in their pursuit of people-centred development, in their struggle for free and comprehensive human development and in their struggle for human liberation and happiness. It can be said that providing thought guidance for humanity in its pursuit of happiness, as well as action guidance for the well-being of humanity, are the root causes of marxist radiation eternal light. As long as humankind's pursuit of happiness does not stop, the historic mission of marxism will not end and marxism will be of eternal value。
