Users of the andreu mobile phone are aware that it is possible to expand mobile phone functionality by refreshing the cell phone's solids to compensate for its original defects. Likewise, for routers, we can upgrade the routers by refreshing the solids。
Safest refreshing - upgrade with official solidware
For big brand routers like dlInk, tp-lLink routers, which are regularly updated to improve their performance. For example, there are locations where broadband provided by isps can limit user-sharing, at which point the operator's sharing restrictions can be bypassed by the use of ad hoc solids. First to tp-lInk's official website downloads the upgrade file of its own model router (each upgrade file has an upgrade functional description. Select the upgrade file as you want), and then depress it to the desktop. Enter 192. 168. 1. 1 in the browser address bar to enter the route settings interface, then enter the system tool backup and load configuration in the left functionality menu, click on the backup profile and export the current configuration to the desktop backup (see figure 1)。

Upon completion of the backup, switch to " system tool software upgrading " , click " select files " , and then select the upgrade file to download (see figure 2)。

Click upgrade to write the upgrade file to the router. The success of the upgrade will indicate a change in the version, which can be seen to be upgraded to version 4. 4. 2 (see figure 3)。

Upon completion of the system upgrade, the above switch to the " system tool backup and load configuration " , click " select file " , select the outgoing configuration import, and click " load profile " to restore the original internet settings. A new version of the upgrade is now available. For example, the upgrade of the tl-wr541g+ router has added a number of special dial-up modes to circumvent the isp's shared blockade, so long as it is replaced by the "web parameters →wan mouth set" and the new "special dial-up mode" is selected (see figure 4)。

Little tip:
The router upgrade must not be out of power and must be done using a network connection (as opposed to the wifi method) and it would be preferable to shut down the firewalls and poison-killing software of the machine in order to avoid unnecessary detection。
Extension unlimited — upgrade using third-party solidware
Official upgrades are mostly partial upgrades, and if we want to make our routers more powerful, we can upgrade them with third-party solids. Dd-wrt, for example, is a good third-party solid, so that if your router supports the dd-wrt, you can brush it in and expand the router's functionality. Dd-wrt solids enable extension functions such as relay, ap, vpn, voip, upnp, dhcp, port mapping, blocking bt, vlan division, and adjusting wireless signal launch power。
Enter the website first to see if your device is in the support list and then download the solidware file suitable for your device to be placed on the desktop. Here's the lInksys wrt150n v1 wireless brusher。
Note that dd-wrt must also be brushed in a cable mode and do not cut power, since the upgrade of dd-wrt is done in the browser interface and requires the use of ie browsers (not using firefox or other third-party browsers)。
Open the ie browser and enter the router settings interface, then switch to " solidware upgrade " , then click " browse " to select the above downloaded upgrade file, and finally click " upload " to finish the brush (see figure 5)。

Upon completion of the dd-wrt upgrade, the router will use the dd-wrt default initial settings (user root, password admin, but different types of configuration, please refer to dd-wrt for documentation). If you do not know how to access the route setting interface, you can start the command prompt and then enter the ipconfig command to get the current network default gateway address, using the gateway address shown here to enter the router interface (see figure 6)。

Upon completion of the above operation, various enhancements of the dd-wrt are now available. Like lInksys wrt150n v1 refreshed time switches to support wireless networks so that hot spots can be automatically closed to save power by sleeping hours. After entering the router interface, switch to the "wireless advanced settings" (see figure 7)。

The "wireless network time limit" option is then set to "open" and then set the time for opening or closing according to your actual situation, with red for closing and green for opening (see figure 8)。

Downloaded dd-wrt solids are usually . Bin as extensions. If routers do not support this format upgrade, you can try to modify the type of extension supported。
