At 1808 hours and 37 seconds, the curtains behind the “recreational foods” section of the supermarket show a slight sparkling of fire in the storeroom。
At 1810 hours and 20 seconds, the supermarket internal emergency radio broadcasted the fire, warning people to evacuate in time. A woman in a blue short sleeve who heard the emergency broadcast and sensed abnormalities, went to the fire, and immediately called for evacuation when she opened the curtain。
At this point, a large amount of smoke began to gather in the storeroom. If the supermarket employees had used fire extinguishers at that time, they would have kept the fire in the warehouse, but they did not. The plume of smoke came out of the gap in the warehouse and spread to other regions, quickly filling the supermarket。

It is understood that prior to the incident, the owner of the supermarket, wang and the day-to-day manager of the nine ding group had agreed to move the supermarket from the negative 1st floor to the upper 1st floor of the floor and to expand the area of operation. Subsequently, the nine ding group sought liu xiaohian, who was involved in the acquisition of waste products, and liu was temporarily approached by a number of individuals to carry out the demolition of the partial escalator and the eight fire-proof curtains in the first courtyard. None of the temporarily recruited demolition and construction workers were trained or certified to be operational and were less aware of fire safety precautions。

Thus, in the absence of authorization for fire operations, several people who had no knowledge of the infrastructure of the escalators and had no experience of disassembly temporarily built a grass-roots team to begin the brutal and blind dismantling operations。
The investigation found that the cutting was in the course of operations, that there were no protective measures at the site, that there was no clean-up of the flammable materials around the site, that there were insufficient fire suppression equipment and the installation of site safety officers, that the high-temperature slag resulting from the cutting had led to the repeated combustion of flammable materials such as oil stains and side-packed planks below the escalators, and that the construction personnel had used only a tub of water。
