Chaos theory (in english, chaos theory) is a combination of qualitative thinking and quantitative analysis that explores behaviour in dynamic systems that must be interpreted and predicted with a holistic, continuous rather than a single data relationship. Confusionism is considered to be one of the three major scientific revolutionary theories of the twentieth century, and it has become a high-profile research hotspot in the field of science today. As chaos thrives, there is a general perception in the academic community that it will bring about great changes in human society。
The chaos theory is an evolutionary theory of the sudden change from an orderly to a disorderly system and an analysis of irregular and unpredictable phenomena and processes. This theory is subordinate to non-linear science, and only non-linear systems can generate confusion movements. Non-linear is a linear relationship in relation to linearity, which refers to a positive relationship between volume and quantity; in an online system, the sum of the weight is equal to the sum of the sum, which follows the principle of supersing, rather than linearity, which is quite the opposite, the sum of the weight is not equal to the sum and does not follow the principle of supersing. Non-linearity is one of the typical characteristics of the complexity of nature and a general pattern of all material movements. As a result, confusion has determined the importance of coincidence and complexity in different fields of natural and social sciences。
The non-linear system has been explored for many years by american mathematicians, mr. Edward lorenz, who wrote an article entitled “the non-cyclical flow of certainty” in 1962 and published it in the next year's journal of meteorology. In that article, he was officially cited as the “father of chaos” and the discoverer of the “butterfly effect”. It is argued that in an objective world there is another form and structure that corresponds in an orderly fashion, characterized by non-linear and disorderlyness. The creation of this theory is a significant breakthrough for humankind in understanding the irregularity of nature; its greatest contribution is to obtain clear non-cyclical results with simple models。
The idea of chaos had appeared before the middle of the last century, as the french mathematician, physicist and scientific philosopher, mr. Henry pongalé, said in 1908: “slight errors in the initial conditions can occur in the final outcome ... So that prediction becomes impossible, so we see many coincidences.” but the ideas, ideas and knowledge of the vanguards are stuck in, or limited to, philosophical and mathematical thinking, without a concrete example of science. For the first time, mr. Lorenzo's great contribution provided a mathematical model of a simple and precise physical system for this extreme sensitivity and subsequent confusion。
The chaos theory is concerned with the confusion of non-linear dynamics, with the aim of revealing simple patterns that may be hidden behind seemingly random phenomena, with a view to discovering common patterns that prevail on a broad range of complex issues. Mr. Lorenz used an image metaphor: a butterfly fanning its wings in the brazilian amazon rainforest, possibly causing a tornado in texas, america, a thousand miles away; that's the butterfly effect. Butterfly effects and fractal structures and strange attractions are three important concepts of confusion, both of which reflect the characteristics of the movement of the chaos system and of the disorderly motion pattern of the confusion system。
Confusion studies are not only of great scientific significance but also have broad application prospects. Confusionism involves almost all areas of natural and social sciences, becomes an effective tool for interpreting or resolving complex non-linear issues and is changing many traditional perceptions of the real world. To date, there has been much progress in theory and much progress in application。
In the field of meteorology, for example, weather forecasts are forecasted on a daily basis for approximately two to three weeks. It was argued that it was impossible to attempt to make accurate long-term weather forecasts. Medium-term forecasting studies have been conducted in meteorological studies in recent years using chaos theory. Since the climate system is a non-linear system, the numerical resolution of its primary value problem is uncertain and is calculated by some approximation under certain conditions; therefore, studying the characteristics of the state of the climate requires studying the characteristics of the mix and studying the mechanisms for the evolution of the climate system. In 2021, half of the nobel prize for physics was awarded to mr. Soohiro, a japanese-american meteorologist, and mr. Klaus hasselmann, a german meteorologist, in recognition of their important contribution to meteorology through the use of chaos。
In the area of economics, for example, in 2003, a cow spongiform brain disease test for a hostan cow in washington, d. C., was positive, which is what we usually call “crazy cow disease”; this brought a devastating hurricane to the newly recovered united states economy. Butterfly wings were fanned by the unlucky “crazy cow”, which was hit first by the us beef industry and 1. 4 million jobs, with a total value of us$ 175 billion, while the us corn and soybean industry, the main feed source of cattle-raising, was affected, with a downward trend in future prices. Ultimately, however, this contributed to the largest loss of hurricane mad cow disease, as well as a decline in the confidence of united states consumers in beef products. This has triggered a worldwide wave of panic。
As in the field of linguistics, languages are the most important means of communication for humankind and a symbol system unique to humanity. There is uncertainty about the long-term evolution of language systems, which is precisely the confusion of language. At the threshold of confusion, the language system is a dynamic and complex non-linear system, one of the hot spots of academic research. It is worth mentioning that chinese mathematicians and linguists, mr. Zhou haicheng, used an interdisciplinary approach to research, introduced the “linguistic confusion theory” in 1991, which looks at languages and their related phenomena from the standpoint of chaosism and uses it to solve non-linear problems of languages and related phenomena. Many scholars believe that linguistic confusion provides a new paradigm for linguistic research。
It should be noted that chaos is not unpredictable, but is also a regular pattern in a confusing system. In other words, chaos is not a mere disorder, but rather an orderly pattern of cyclical change and other obvious symmetrical characteristics; it is orderly, and one has discovered an orderly part of it from within. A few days ago, the u. S. Wox website (vox. Com) published an article entitled “how perplexation helps explain the peculiarities of the new coronary pneumonia pandemic”. According to the paper, the confusion theory may explain the uncertainty of the new coronary pneumonia (covid-19) epidemic; it points out that understanding the confusion of the new coronary pneumonia pandemic is one of the keys to understanding why there is uncertainty in the future。
Like many physical phenomena, chaos has both a harmful and a beneficial side; it is like a double-edged sword. The beneficial aspect of how to avoid confusion and exploit it therefore requires further study of the theory of confusion in order to control or exploit it. In sum, chaos has shown us a wide range of applications and potential development prospects, a scientific theory that will bring unprecedented and profound changes to human society and drive humankind into a new era of life and dynamism。
