Capital markets are never short of stories, and investors tend to believe that “it is true” before the bubbles break out. But this story is ironic for the processors in the main graphite-producing area, because the primary products of natural graphite fell from their highs in 2011 and prices have been cut in three years。
So, will chinese graphite resources run out in 20 years? What is the current status of graphite mining, applications and processing? How much does graphite relate to graphite? How much moisture does the graphite concept unit have? With these questions in mind, the daily economic news journalist travelled to the country's largest graphite-producing city of heilongjiang, robei county, tsurugan city, in late june and early july. As a result of the research, these riddles were uncovered。

On 26 june 2014, when the plane from beijing to roxie approached its landing, the journalists looked at what they saw as a series of green pieces, which was amazingly rich in the land。
Robei district, krakang city, 300 km north of the country, also has abundant agricultural resources. Linked to these two green lands are the black “golds” buried in their ground。
As the two largest natural graphite mining areas in the country, the natural graphite reserves identified in the cities of chickenxi and rhope county account for more than 60 per cent of the country's total, while graphite capacity and production account for 70 per cent of the country's total。
However, the recent graphite concept in the capital market did not leave the graphite producers out。
The managing director of the largest graphite enterprise group in the country told the newspaper daily economic news that “since this year, the group has not received even one ton of minerals for production, and now uses the rest of last year's ore, and has to stop working after it has run out. Smaller businesses, when they run out of ores, will have to wait until they collapse."
The price of graphite products has been falling steadily over the past three years, especially as the main product of natural graphite is graphite powder, which has been cut from almost $7,000 to $3,000 per ton。
Prices have fallen along the way, leading to restrictions on the supply of ores in the city of chicken west and in the district of ropei in the city of tsukaku, in an attempt to save the city through production restrictions. As of the time of the press survey, production by graphite companies in both locations had almost stalled。
Prices of graphite products continue to decline/
In 2010 - 2011, the price of graphite powder, the country's main natural graphite product, rose from around 2000 to 6,700 yuan/t, almost twice as high as in less than two years。
The sharp increase in the price of graphite powder has led to the creation of a number of small enterprises producing graphite powder, an industry that is not strictly regulated。
At a time when industry thought that the graphite industry would flourish, it was unknown that the price of $6,700 per ton had peaked in recent years. After 2011, the price of graphite powder fell for three consecutive years. To date, their higher prices have dropped by more than 50 per cent, and some low-purity products have been offered at prices of less than $3,000 per ton。

In addition to the effects of reduced downstream demand, such as steel, low graphite prices have been hampered by oversupply. The rising price of graphite powder until 2011 has led to the involvement of a large number of small businesses in the production of this primary product, and the uncontrolled supply of graphite powder has contributed to persistent excess capacity over the years, which has exacerbated the graphite industry.”
It was not just graphite powder that fell in these two years. As the most important medium- and high-level product of natural graphite, the price of negative polar materials for spherical graphite and lithium batteries also declined by 30 per cent. Yuan kuohui told reporters that spherical graphite dropped from 30,000 yuan/tonne high in 2011 to 20,000 yuan/tonne today, and that the price of lithium-cell negative polar materials has dropped almost equally in the last two years, from over 100,000 to now 70,000 to 80,000 yuan/t。

Chen yu has indicated that the graphite market is still the most productive primary product. “the production of natural graphite primary products in the heilong river reached 370,000 tons in 2013, representing 88 per cent of the production of graphite products in the heilong river.”
Quickie, lopey quest/

Under the pressure of pollution, overcapacity and so on, the province of heilongjiang provides “one-size-fits-all” protection for the supply and production of graphite enterprises. The two regions of the country with the largest production of graphite powder, the city of heixi in the province of heilongjiang and the district of robei in the city of tsukaku in the same year, have ceased the supply of natural graphite ore, leading to a significant decline in primary production of graphite in both areas。
The graphite enterprises in the city of chicken west were also required to make repairs while the ores were restricted because of contamination during exposure. At the end of june, journalists visited major graphite mining areas, such as mt. Mt. Mt。

The graphite production companies in robe county are concentrated in the yunshan mineral resources industrial park in robe county, and the graphite minerals are uniformly mined and supplied. Several owners of the park told journalists that, until june, they had no ore to produce。
With regard to the absence of mineral resources in enterprises in the park, xia dongwei, deputy director of the board of directors of the yunsan mineral resources industrial park, rhobe county, tsukaku city, told the journalist that “mainly in order to protect resources in the province, the supply of minerals is limited. The exact amount of ore currently allocated to the park is still under discussion and there are no specific quantities.”
