Friends who like to grow flowers at home, many actually know a “earth method” — using urine as fertilizer. Why? Because the urine is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and especially nitrogen, it is a natural “quick nitrogen fertilizer” that allows green leaf vegetables to grow large and tender, and makes green carrots and langes crazy。
But the problem is that many friends try it once and never again: it's too odoury, the balcony and the yard for days, and even more troublesome, if the concentration is not controlled, the flowers are burned to death, leaves are yellow, roots are black and heartaches are bad。
Actually, it's not the urine. It's the wrong way. If you add "one thing" to the urine, you lose the smell, you double the weight, you don't drink anything crazy, you don't burn the root at all. What is this thing? Red sugar
Why is urine and red sugar the perfect match
You probably can't imagine that the red sugar in the kitchen, and the urine in the kitchen, would have had a wonderful chemical reaction。
The urine is mainly urea-containing and is poured directly into the soil, requiring microbial decomposition in the soil to be absorbed by plants. This decomposition produces heat, and if the concentration is too high, the roots are burned. Also, urine releases ammonia during natural decomposition, which is the source of the stink。
What's the role of red sugar? The red sugar contains a large amount of sugar, amino acid and vitamins and is the preferred “food” of microbes. The inclusion of red sugar in the urine is tantamount to providing a “big meal” for the fungus in the urine, allowing them to reproduce quickly and to ferment。
There are three major changes in urine after fermentation:
• the odour has largely disappeared: the ammonia is fully transformed into a tasteless organic nitrogen during the fermentation process, with virtually no smell in the water。
:: a significant increase in fertility: trace elements in red sugar combined with enzymes from fermentation make nutrients in urine more readily absorbed by plants. The same urine at least doubles the fermentation。
• no roots, no seed: the mildness of urine once fermented is complete, as in the case of “organic fertilizers” sold on the market, with no fear of injury。
Make a way. Simple three steps
Preparation material: a plastic drum with a cap (oil drum, mineral water bucket), fresh urine (recommended to be “painted” from half a day to a day or to be collected more easily directly with men's urine) and red sugar。
Match: the ratio of urine and red sugar is about 50:1. In other words, five pounds of urine plus one or two grams of red sugar. If there is no scale at home, it's about 10 pounds of urine plus a large spoon of red sugar (about 100 grams), without the need for special precision。
Step 1: mixing
Put the red sugar in the plastic bucket, then into the urine, and put the lid on. Note: the lids are not too tight, with a bit of cracking, or the lids are pumped every day or two, or the gas from the fermentation will blow up the barrel。
Step 2: fermentation
The buckets are placed in cold, ventilated and uninhibited places, such as the corner of the balcony and the shade in the yard. In summer, the temperature is high and the fermentation is faster, usually 10 to 15 days; in winter, it may take 20 to 30 days. What do you think about the fermentation? The fermentation works when the lid is opened and there is no obvious smell, and there's a slight sour sweetness or wine。
Step 3: dilution
Well fermented urine red sugar, never be poured directly. At the time of use, take one original liquid for 10 to 20 clean water (approx. 1:10 to 1:20). When you water the flowers, you water them along the roots, not on the leaves。
Which vegetables and plants do you like best
• vegetables: spinach, lettuce, cabbage, cabbage. The leaves are oily and growing faster than the fertilizer they buy。
• cucumbers, pumpkins, melons. The flowering results take place once, and the fruit grows much more quickly。
• flowers: green beads, hamlets, tortoises, rose trees. Especially the green roses, and then the vines swung in a few days。
• not recommended: the fruit season of the ongoing crop of strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, excessive nitrogen fattening tends to lead to the loss of fruit or dim taste, preferably during seeding and long-term life。
Three kind reminders. It's more reassuring
First, don't use the patient's urine. Those who are on medication, are infected with the urology system or are inflammated may contain either drug residues or bacteria and are not suitable for fertilizer。
Secondly, not just one fat. Uranium red sugar water is mainly nitrogen fattening and, in order to balance plant nutrients, it is advisable to supplement the phosphate fattening with potassium phosphate or grassy ash water once every half month。
Thirdly, the indoor plant works carefully. Although the fermentation tastes very small, if it is closed, there is still a little smell at the beginning of the fermentation, and it is suggested that the ventilation will last half an hour. If you really mind, it's just for the outdoor kitchen and the yard。
What's better than just pissing
Many old farmers are used to pouring “fresh urine” directly into the water. While this can also be long, there are many problems: it is easy to burn, it is easy to catch flies, it stinks and it is not fully effective。
And when you add red sugar fermentation, the urine becomes "high organic fluids." as friends in the countryside know, this earthly fertilizer is more effective than a few dozen dollars a bottle of nutrients. The point is, without a penny, red sugar is a few cents, saving hundreds of dollars a year。
At the end
The most valuable things are hidden around us. Pee with red sugar is the one that looks like dirt, but the real friends know that the effect is real. It's not all about money, it's all about luck。
