On the afternoon of 9 april, a ceremony for the signing of a collaborative intellectual property protection strategy between the tongzhou arbitration commission and nine institutions, including the guangdong copyright protection federation, the toang city bar association and the east chang city intellectual property research society, was held in east tianan digital city, where the opening ceremony was held。
In his address, duyunghua, researcher at the level of the guangzhou arbitration commission, stated that in recent years, intellectual property cases had increased in the form of blow-outs, and that the special nature of intellectual property protection, the covert nature of the tort, had made it difficult to establish such cases, to obtain evidence and to defend rights. Thus, to meet the needs of the public and innovative actors for intellectual property protection, the guangzhou arbitration commission has innovatively introduced the “odr+ipr” model, introduced intellectual property cases into the online online dispute resolution (odr) platform set up by the guangzhou arbitration commission in 2020, used block-link technology to build new models of arbitration in the intellectual property industry, improved efficiency in intellectual property rights protection, reduced costs of corporate advocacy and stimulated innovation in enterprises. At the same time, the guangzhou arbitration commission is simultaneously advancing the implementation of the recommended standards for internet arbitration (i. E. The guangzhou standards) to achieve the functional role of internet arbitration in the governance of cyberspace, with the goal of the new development phase of intellectual property in the country。
In his message, liang, vice-president of the guangdong copyright protection federation, stated that the theme of the event was “intellectual property protection for enterprises in the digital economy — corporate creativity and copyright values”, with the aim of raising the awareness of enterprises of the importance and role of intellectual property protection for the promotion of innovation in enterprises. Only by strengthening intellectual property protection can enterprise innovation be enhanced; only continuous innovation can boost economic growth. Copyright, like patents and trademarks, is an important component of intellectual property rights. The new copyright law, which was revised and adopted last year, will also be in force on 1 june this year, which will have a positive impact on curbing piracy, strengthening intellectual property protection and promoting scientific and technological development and cultural prosperity。
Subsequently, professor xiehuika, director, intellectual property department, faculty of technology, university of south china; professor anshemet, vice-president, faculty of law, guangdong school of finance; and dr. Tanzig, director, guangdong law office, shared their views around “intellectual property protection for enterprises in the age of the digital economy”。
Finally, the memorandum of cooperation on the coordinated protection of intellectual property rights was successfully signed with the joint testimony of representatives. The conclusion of the signing ceremony means that the parties will work together to safeguard the construction of innovative cities in the east, based on the principles of strategic commonality, sharing of experiences, building of platforms and sharing of results, and based on a common vision to promote the diversification of intellectual property rights, the rapid and concerted protection of intellectual property rights and the establishment of a just and equitable rule of law。
