In an effort to further tighten the red line of cropland, to curb the “de-farming” of cropland and to prevent the “de-foodization” of cropland, the town of stone tong has continued to organize agricultural water stations in towns, town construction centres, villages (communitys) and so forth, and to promote the clean-up and rehabilitation of the illegal cultivation of fast-growing euphoria trees。
Since december 2022, the stone tong town has been conducting a mapping exercise to map the bottoms of the illegal planting of fast-growing euphoria in arable land, and against the bottoms of the rows identified, by issuing to the grower a circular to clean up the illegal cultivation of fast-growing euphoria in the town of stone pond, urging the self-cleaning of the illegal planting of fast-growing euphoria in arable land and the restoration of working conditions; second, by increasing policy advocacy, by posting to the villages (community) a circular on the illegal cultivation of fast-growing euphoria in the clean-up of arable land, and by recording local speech versions, by means of mobile information vehicles and village (community) radio loops, obtaining public understanding of and support for the clean-up of fast-growing euphorus trees; and, third, by the government of the stone tong town, with its primary leadership coming from the former leadership, by deepening its knowledge of the difficulties and problems of cleaning up fast-growing trees in the field, coordinating on-site efforts to resolve the difficulties and organize clean-up efforts。
Over the past year, it has been calculated that the rehabilitation of 1280 acres of illegally occupied arable land has been completed, of which more than 620 acres have been cleared, more than 300 acres have been replanted, orchards have been cleared and more than 660 acres have been replanted。
As a next step, stone tong will continue to strengthen its screening and control, strengthen its law enforcement efforts, accelerate the progress of operation clean-up, curbing the use of arable land and the cultivation of fast-growing euphoria from the source; further intensify its advocacy efforts to mobilize village (community) and mass self-organized teams to clean up the fast-growing euphoria trees that have been planted in violation of the law and to create a favourable environment for popular participation in the clean-up; strengthen its policy support efforts to explore specific routes for the “clean-up of sugar cane”, and support and encourage the early launching of the 2022/223 winter sugar plantation support programme by the dong rock and sugar company ltd., in order to fully mobilize popular incentives for the “cleaning of sugar cane”。
