On 19 july, the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (rcep) knowledge competition, hosted by the henan province business department and hosted by the henan province branch of the bank of china, was held in zhengzhou. Sun kyolin, vice-president of the provincial department of commerce, stated that my province attached great importance to the advancement of the rcep. In the first half of this year, the value of exports and imports from the province and the rcep member countries amounted to $113. 2 billion, an increase of 12. 2 per cent over the same period, which was higher than the average for the province. In order to fully release the rcep policy dividend and help more enterprises become familiar with the new rules and master the new changes, the henan department of commerce carefully prepared the competition。

In april this year, the bank of china issued a programme of action to seize new opportunities in the rcep free-trade zone, to help build a new dual-cycle development landscape, and to improve the capacity of cross-border financial supply-side services. Henan has responded positively to the call of the bank and its decision-making deployments, taking full advantage of globalization and integration, by proactively focusing on external and foreign economic and trade enterprises in the province, and by providing a strong backstop for enterprises to go to sea through initiatives such as increased credit support, proactive fee reductions and the design of a package of financial services products. To date, henan has behaved in favour of more than 900 foreign economic and trade enterprises in the province of china。
It is understood that the competition was organized in the form of “on-line plus below-line” with the participation of 1912 enterprises. The participating enterprises indicated that the content of the rcep agreement, policy implications and tariff concessions were better understood and better integrated into the rcep. The competition is also one of the activities of the bank of china's “100 million enterprises” series (the bank of china will organize more than 100 “stable foreign trade” support activities throughout the country in 2022, providing direct services and covering more than 10,000 export and import enterprises). Henan, through its professional advantages, also offers financial advisory services to participating enterprises on how to save their trade costs, efficiently allocate their operating funds and optimize the distribution of their industrial chain supply chains。
