On the occasion of the 33rd national energy conservation awareness week, the guangzhou centre for energy conservation and the guangzhou industrial investment holdings group jointly organized the launch of the 2023 guangzhou energy conservation awareness week and the energy efficiency promotion campaign to the park on 7 july。
The deputy permanent director of the grand bay region of guangzhou city and deputy director of the municipal development and reform commission attended and addressed the event, and the relevant units, such as the municipal bureau of industry and information technology, the municipal eco-environment agency, the municipal housing and urban construction agency, the municipal transport department, the guangzhou industrial investment holding group and the guangzhou youth volunteer association, participated in the launch of the energy conservation week。
The relevant head of the guangzhou development and reform commission stated that, in recent years, guangzhou has made a determined effort to promote greening and low-carboning of economic and social development, continuously promoting the conservation of energy resources and achieving positive results in terms of energy conservation and carbon reduction. After years of industrial restructuring and optimization of the energy structure, the energy consumption of guangzhou per unit of production and co2 emissions per unit of production have continued to decline. During the period of “1355”, guangzhou city achieved an average annual growth rate of 6. 0 per cent in GDP, an average annual increase in energy consumption of 1. 7 per cent and a cumulative decrease of 19. 4 per cent and 31. 9 per cent, respectively, in GDP consumption per unit and co2 emissions per unit area. During the “1455” period, guangzhou will continue to make solid advances in energy conservation and carbon reduction, accelerate the establishment of a sound green low-carbon cycle development economy and promote a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development。

Focusing on the requirements for green, low-carbon and high-quality development in manufacturing, the guangzhou energy conservation promotion week launch was combined with the “energy conservation promotion into parks” campaign to deliver energy conservation policies, energy conservation technologies and energy conservation services to park enterprises. It was understood that courses on energy-saving techniques and applications, experience with energy-saving work in the xinhua region, and sharing of carbon-saving cases in industrial enterprises were organized to share energy-saving practices in enterprises from a variety of perspectives, including experts, energy-saving authorities, enterprises, etc。
Green technology and green finance promotion exchange area was also set up at the site to showcase the success of energy-saving carbon reduction efforts in guangzhou city in recent years, low-carbon energy-saving policies, green technologies and typical cases, green finance knowledge, and to organize on-site advisory and answer services for energy-saving technology providers, financial institutions and relevant industry associations。
It is understood that this year's guangzhou energy-saving week series is closely focused on energy-saving actions for all, using popularly popular means of communication and flexible channels of communication to increase the participation of all sectors of society. For example, a month-long energy-saving, carbon-reduction volunteer month in guangzhou city was organized by the united voluntary action guidance centre in guangzhou city to pre-heating the week of energy conservation. Nearly 100 awareness-raising campaigns have been carried out, reaching more than 5,000 people。
For example, in order to encourage young people to pursue their own research activities on energy conservation and carbon reduction, the guangzhou centre for energy conservation has developed and disseminated four research paths, such as eco-civilization, carbon peaks and knowledge diffusion, energy use scenes, knowledge of resource recycling, and access to content and information in 12 key energy-saving low-carbon educational spaces。
As a next step, guangzhou will continue on-site activities such as “energy-efficient promotion into communities”, “energy-efficient promotion into businesses”, “energy-efficient promotion into institutions”, as well as on-line activities such as energy-saving knowledge questions and answers, energy-saving lecture halls, and “energy-efficient stories” productions, to create a low-carbon, high-quality climate of energy conservation throughout society, to increase the awareness of all people for conservation and ecological conservation, to promote a modest, green, low-carbon, civilized and healthy lifestyle, to guide marketers and the public to self-aware carbon-saving responsibilities and to contribute to the high-quality development of the green low-carbon economy。
