The market regulatory authority has implemented risk-based management for all food-producing enterprises, carrying out daily supervision inspections of 10,241 food-producing enterprises throughout the province and achieving 100 per cent “full coverage” of daily surveillance inspections. A risk list, a list of measures and a list of responsibilities for 21 priority regions and 27 priority products are organized and centralized. A third-party assessment of 85 large food marketing enterprises across the province organized 1085 large- and medium-sized supermarkets across the province with public commitments to secure food sales。

The agricultural and rural sectors investigated 261 cases of quality safety of food products (excluding agricultural resources) and referred nine cases to the judicial authorities. The department of eco-environmental affairs of the province imposes 27 administrative penalties for the food industry, amounting to $3. 0441 million。
The market supervisory authority has completed 16,873 food cases and opened 225 major cases, of which 197 were referred to the public security organs; the cumulative amount involved was 1,875,000 yuan, with a total of 1,687,000 yuan in confiscations; 321 cases of the "prohibited arrest and non-disrupting chain" of the yangtze river were first in the country; and 10 persons were “punished” and 18 food cases were jointly registered with the provincial public security offices。
Public security organs opened 615 criminal cases involving food items, held 620 persons in criminal custody, 617 persons on remand for bail, monitored 37 persons for residence, arrested 305 persons and transferred 711 persons for prosecution, of which 18 cases were solved。
The public prosecution service conducted 438 cases of public interest litigation in the area of edibles, 539 cases were opened, 455 pre-suit proceedings were instituted, 135 proceedings were instituted, and in 49 cases in the field of food, 12. 6 million dollars was claimed as a penalty amount.
