The family journal group, formerly the family magazine, was established in 1981. The core publication, the family, was launched by the guangdong women's federation at the initiative of the then secretary-general of guangdong province no. 1 in 1982 and renamed the guangdong women's federation in 1983. In 2002, with the approval of the central communications department of the communist party of china and the press and publications department, the first national periodical group, the family journal group, was formed by the family magazine. In 2003, the group was established by the guangdong provincial council government as one of the seven cultural champions, the first pilot cultural institutional reform units and 10 major projects in the field of engineering periodicals. In june 2008, with the approval of the government of guangdong province, the family journal group ltd. Was formally established as the first journal unit in guangdong province, with a registered capital of $147 million.
