In the lead-up to and following world mental health day 32, the huainan teacher training college organized a world mental health day thematic mental health education campaign aimed at increasing mental health awareness through a variety of means, calling on teachers and students to raise awareness, focus attention on mental health issues, work together to build harmonious schools, promote the harmonious development of students ' intellectual, moral, scientific and cultural qualities and the quality of their physical and mental health, and prepare new people for a new era of national renewal。
Professional sensitization and strengthening of the knowledge base. On the afternoon of 10 october, wang jin, deputy director of the mental health department of the fourth people's hospital in the city of huainang (main mental health centre in the city of huainan), was invited to give a lecture for students on the theme " identification and response to common mental disorders at university students " , which was attended by over 300 students. Organization of psychological assessments and maintenance of physical and psychological stability. Between 7 october and 20 october, the school carried out screening and testing of the mental health status of students, with a total of 13442 students at the level of 2020-2022, with a rate of 85 per cent, and psychological literacy at the later stage of self-study at the level of 2023, with all 4923 students participating and the results being effective, with a rate and efficiency of 100 per cent. This psychological assessment provides an effective reference for the assessment of the mental health status of students after the new school term, as well as for the timely detection of mental distress or psychological problems. Skills training and job empowerment. In the afternoon of 11 october, the mental health education counselling centre trained all counsellors on the topic of counselling skills. The minister of education and industry and director of the mental health education counselling centre, yang tae-woo, asked counsellors to improve their learning, deepen their understanding of the mental health education of university students in the context of the new era, and constantly improve their mental health skills; ensure that students have a sense of responsibility to “often hold their hearts together” and to combine crisis prevention with positive guidance; and maintain their physical and mental health. Hersing, director of the office of the mental health education counselling centre, assists counsellors in improving mental health work by conducting a four-pronged presentation on the skills of counselling with students with mental health problems, from the psychological work of counsellors, how to view students with psychological problems, how to view psychological tests, how to talk to students, and how to talk to students with psychological difficulties。
To help others grow up. With a view to mobilizing the efforts of its members and stimulating the work of its staff, the mental health education and counselling centre has held a meeting of its members, with the participation of more than 30 psychologists from secondary schools, and has engaged in intensive discussions and in-depth exchanges on the problems encountered in the work of its members, their experience and how to identify and help students with psychological problems. The full-time teacher of the mental health education counselling centre has been patient and careful in answering the various questions posed by the members of the psychological council, and has inspired people to play an active role and contribute to mental health work。
Practice activities to develop positive quality. The school conducted a mental health knowledge competition on the alternative platform, in which a total of 1,727 people completed the mental health knowledge competition and selected 114 award-winning students. The event, “the tree hole, you listen to me”, was attended to by students about their psychological problems of life anxiety, academic stress, interpersonal relations, emotional distress, etc., and received over 300 messages and responded in a timely manner, while 36 lucky winners were selected。
