As the first specialized intellectual property courts in the country, and in order to further serve as a model lead for specialized casework, the beijing intellectual property court held a press conference on 30 april to launch the beijing intellectual property court annual case 2024 (in english and chinese). It is understood that, since its establishment on 6 november 2014, the beijing intellectual property court has dealt with a number of typical cases with rule-based value and significant social impact. Starting this year, the beijing intellectual property court will make public in april of each year a typical case of the previous year, continuing to play the role of a model case and a rule-of-judgment value-leading role in contributing to the rule-of-law business environment。
The press conference issued eight typical cases of intellectual property rights, covering the main areas of adjudication of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and competition over four major intellectual property rights, as well as innovations in new industries in the priority areas of medicine, communications, seeding, platform economy and data, reflecting five major features, such as the intensification of industrial innovation in the priority areas of escorting, the severe fight against intellectual property abuse, the construction of institutions to assist high-level socialist market economies, the development of the rule-of-law process of servicing intellectual property rights, and the contribution of chinese wisdom to intellectual property governance worldwide。
