In order to follow up on the 20th and 20th plenary sessions of the party, to promote adolescent mental health and safe self-care education and to further enhance adolescent self-protection awareness and capacity, on 14 april the uyangshan county committee and the united yangshan district volunteer federation went to yangshan second secondary school to organize activities on the subject of mental health and self-care education for adolescents, and organized a live, practical and warm adolescent health education course for over 300 girls in the seventh grade of the school。

Professional leadership, escorting youth
Specialized mental health education teachers were invited to teach at the event. The teachers systematically explain the physical and mental changes in adolescence, health-care knowledge and emotional management methods through various forms of graphic presentation, video teaching, and scenario simulation, focusing on the two themes of “know yourself in adolescence” and “ learn to protect yourself”. In the course of education on protection against sexual assault, teachers, in conjunction with case-analysis and interactive questions and answers, lead students to develop a physical boundary awareness, a self-care process of “identify-refusal-leave-notification” and enhance their ability to cope with potential risks。

It's warm. It's handing out care
The classroom atmosphere is very active, and students are very much involved in interaction and actively share confusion and reflection in growth. Teachers listened patiently, answered carefully and passed on scientific knowledge in a warm and relaxed exchange. The event was also attended by 12,355 students who were actively involved in the project, who were given a special gift on the subject, which further stimulated their interest in mental health and allowed self-care to take root。

Condensate, build a protection net for youth
The event was an important initiative of the sunsan district council to deepen the branding of the 12355 youth help desk and to expand the content of the service for adolescents, as well as a concrete exercise to bring together the volunteer community and help young people grow up healthy. The sunyang district committee will continue to use its organizational advantages to consolidate the resources of professional institutions and volunteer services and to promote a positive environment in which young people are cared for together in society。

As a next step, the sunyang district council will continue its “young youth self-care” education programme, which will focus on mental health, sexual abuse, bullying, drowning and cyber-security, and will promote activities in schools and the community, working to provide young people with a full range of regular care services, ensuring physical and mental health protection for young people and helping them to grow up in the sun and move forward bravely。
