With a view to further broadening farmers ' access to income generation and helping to revitalize their villages, on 11 july a training course on high-quality and efficient cultivation techniques for modern agricultural science and technology was held in sasagawa county, organized by the horticulture institute of the henan provincial academy of agricultural sciences and the henan provincial academy of aquatic sciences. Zheng zhengzhou institute of fruit tree research, china agricultural institute, and zhu liang, a physio-cultivator of the national system of technology for peach industries, analysed the current situation and challenges of the peach industry in china on the subject of new patterns of selection and cultivation of peach varieties, and presented several market-recognised fine peach varieties and their innovative cultivation models and associated soil-fat management techniques。
The vice-president of the institute of plant nutrition and resource environment of the sinyang agricultural institute, neyyan, focused on fruit gardening and grass technology, detailing the benefits of orchard green fertilizer, the choice of species and the technical details of its implementation, providing participants with scientifically viable eco-planting programmes。
Prior to the formal start of the training, the participants, led by the mandate-holder of the school's co-provincial pear and the deputy research fellow of the wu centre of the agricultural institute of henan province, visited the new horizontal pear demonstration base and the peach base at the modern agricultural complex in sasakawa county. On site, camp wu presented advanced technologies such as high standard gardening, horizontal shed construction, ground cover, water fertilizer integration and weeding between orchards, and in-depth exchanges were held with participants on current peach tree management techniques. The participants showed great interest in the new technologies presented at the demonstration base, with frequent interaction and a live atmosphere。
The successful delivery of the training programme had been highly appreciated by the participants and local government authorities. It was widely acknowledged that the training not only captured new pear varieties and new technologies, but also broadened the horizon and increased confidence in the development of efficient agriculture.
