After many years of exploration and practice, the yongjiang district of zizihar successfully explored a new model of eco-economic development for the “scorpion of sorghum to herbal herbal herbs in red pine breeding”, which effectively addressed the challenge of reforestation in the rocky mountains and achieved both ecological and economic benefits。
The yongjiang district is located in the western part of heilongjiang province, on the edge of the korjun desert in the transitional zone between the yangtze anzhen province and the pine plain, and covers more than 50 per cent of the country's shallow mountainous and hilly areas and is a typical wind and sanded area. Forestation has historically been difficult owing to poor land conditions, low rates of activity and conservation, and low incentives for mass afforestation. In order to solve the problem of greening the rocky mountains and to mobilize people to plant trees, forest managers and workers in yongjiang county took the lead in introducing the technique of promoting thawing red pines throughout the province, taking advantage of the drought-resistant, infertile and living features of the local countryside. Taking advantage of the relative speed and resistance of sorghum, artificially reducing the reproductive cycle of red pines to achieve early results and early logging。
It was described as a successful experiment in 1965 by the kondang institute of forestry science, which in 1993 received the heilongjiang provincial government prize for scientific and technological progress, in 1996 was listed by the former ministry of national forestry as one of the 100 priority outreach projects, and in 1999 by the ministry of national science and technology as a guide to the “nine five” national priority science and technology promotion plan。
In 2004, a 6-year-old sorghum sprouts were selected in the ru river commune of yongjiang county, resulting in a survival rate of 84 per cent; in 2006, under the technical guidance of the institute of red pine pine lumbers in the town of nitangjiang city, a successful 2063 sprouts was introduced in the town of lu river. So far, 29,000 acres have been developed in yongjiang county to feed the red pine forest, of which 15,000 acres of red pine have been produced, and 0. 7 million acres have entered the poignant season. Through continuous exploration, mature technical norms have been developed, and a large number of skilled and professional in-laws have been developed, resulting in a radiation-driven area of over 100,000 acres。
With a view to increasing land use rates and further expanding the economic benefits of forest and farming, and with policy support and related technical services, yongjiang county has explored a new model for eco-economic development of the “silver sorghum sprouts in red pine seed”. The model, which maximizes the ecological, economic and social benefits of forestry, enhances the business confidence of foresters and increases the number of people involved in afforestation and reforestation construction, has gradually become a new growth point for farmer enrichment。
In terms of economic benefits, the sorghum sprouts are initially solid five to seven years later, with full economic benefits. In terms of eco-efficiency, the eco-efficiency cycle has been extended to better cover water sources, prevent wind sands, prevent soil erosion and provide reliable guarantees for increased agricultural and livestock production. At the same time, it has enriched species in the western region, providing excellent species for afforestation and extending the growing areas of red pine. In terms of social benefits, the agricultural economy has been restructured, access to productive work for farmers has been broadened, the ecotourism industry has been promoted, forestry has been promoted and new industrial chains have been created for rural economic development。
