For the purpose of making a declaration on the twenty-sixth china patent awards project, according to the circular of the guangdong province market supervisory authority on the organization of the twenty-sixth china patent awards project (2025) as required by resolution no. 396, hereinafter referred to as annex 1 to the notice, the following information is provided:
I. Channels of declaration
The project to be evaluated for the china patent award may be declared using one of the following four channels:
(i) the provincial directorates will organize the selection of experts for the selection of merit-based projects through the departmental boards (15 of which are inventions, practical new patent proposals and 11 of which are patent proposals for visual design, totalling 26)
(ii) one project evaluation per two sessions for national model enterprises on intellectual property
(iii) recommendations through the alumni channel
(iv) recommendations through national trade associations。
Ii. Reporting modalities
(i) in the case of a project for the declaration of the number of places to be recommended by the provincial directorate, the relevant units are requested to report to the intellectual property promotion section of the market monitoring authority of jiangmen by 4 december 2025, in electronic form, the written, electronic and recommended project information for the twenty-sixth china patent award (annex 2). The electronic version of the information on the declared project shall be strictly in accordance with the circular of the national intellectual property agency on the selection of the twenty-sixth china patent award (letter of transmittal by the state secretariat [2025]). No. 152, see the annex to the notice, requires that the submission requirements be collated and named and placed on a cd-rom or diskette。
(ii) in the case of projects to be submitted through other channels through the provincial directorates, the relevant units are requested to deposit a summary of the recommendation and the declared project information on cd-rom or diskette by 10 december 2025 and to submit it to the intellectual property promotion section of the market supervision authority of jiangmen, together with the recommended paper and original submission of the recommendation. The form of the letter of recommendation, the content and the form of the project material to be declared are strictly in accordance with the requirements of the circular of the state intellectual property agency on the selection of the twenty-sixth china patent award。
Other requirements
(i) in line with the requirements of the circular, the award further highlights high-quality development requirements and prioritizes high-profile industrial or social benefits of patents, in particular core patents in basic research, applied basic research, frontier areas of science and technology, and technical difficulties in breaking the “crawling” chain. The project materials evaluated should be complete, authentic, accurate and not confidential。
(ii) to request the district (city and district) market supervisory authority to conduct a comprehensive mapping of the subject matter of innovation in the jurisdiction, focusing on excavation, proactive services and active organization of high-technology, high-quality and high-value patent projects in the jurisdiction to be declared through various channels。
