On 14 september, our public news published an article entitled " it's time to grow strawberries, grow them in the fall and eat them all winterly " . The flower friends tried and gave us a lot of feedback. Some of the florists have been successful in planting, and sumi has already started to bloom, but some of the florists have left us messages about a variety of problems. On the basis of the feedback questions, he summarized five points, and the following is the answer:

1. Environmental conditions
Before deciding whether to plant strawberries on the balcony, the florist must determine whether the home environment is suitable for strawberry growth. Strawberry is a plant that prefers light, and if the light is not enough, the seedlings will be weak, with long leaves and bouquets, light leaves, small flowers, and little and little fruit, not sweet acid。

Strawberry-planted balcony must be full-time or half-day, and an all-coloured balcony cannot plant strawberries. Strawberries are grown on the balcony for at least six hours of sun per day, and if the balcony does not meet light conditions, planting is not recommended。

2. Purchase of strawberry seedlings
Strawberries tend to breed by seeding and seedling. While the price of a bag of seeds is much cheaper than the purchase of small seedlings, the seed sprouts require a higher degree of environmental humidity and then grow from the tip of a needle into large seedlings, which takes one to two years and takes time. It is now october, and if you want strawberries in winter, it is recommended to purchase strawberries for planting。

3. Soil selection
Strawberry roots prefer well-drived, air-ventilated soils, with higher levels of decay in the soil. It would be preferable for the conditional florist to use the soil directly and to plant it directly with organic fertilizers added to the soil. Some of the florists grow in large quantities, find the nutrients more expensive, and it is possible to dig their own seeds. However, it is important not to dig the yellow soil on the side of the road. Strawberries cannot grow normally in the yellow soil of that hard state, and to dig the soil in the trees with high levels of pine needles or leaves。

The soil excavated in the field is carried with eggs and bacteria, which are used directly, and when insects hatch, they endanger strawberry seedlings, and hidden bacteria can make plants sick, with considerable time and effort required to treat the disease. The excavated soil must therefore be sterilized and the soil can be sterilized by evaporated on the steam pot for 30 minutes; or the soil may be exposed to insects in the sun for between 4 and 5 days, and then the soil may be wet by a multibacterium solution. The soil is treated, and it will be easier to conserve strawberries later。

4. Watering as appropriate
Many of the florist feedback is that there is always a problem of foliage in their home strawberry seedlings, often caused by overwatering. The temperature is lower in the autumn, and the temperature is not high on the balcony, although there is indoor hot air, the water evaporation is slow and the soil is damp for long periods of time after water. Added to the many closed balcony ventilated, the droplets and vapours on the leaves could not be dried quickly, causing strawberry leaves to rot. Strawberry seedlings in the autumn, where appropriate, can be watered with less water, while avoiding the draughting of leaves and keeping the leaves dry。

Five, cut flowers
Strawberry is a plant with a strong flowering and yielding capacity. A lot of them planted strawberry seedlings, and they'll bloom in a month. At this time, strawberry leaves are relatively small, thinly planted, and flowers consume a lot of energy. It's recommended that the flowers be trimmed and the strawberries grow the leaves. When leaves are more abundant and grow strong, then they bloom, more flowers than when the seedlings are weak, and more fruits are sweeter。
