On 29 july, the 2025 food safety awareness week was held in the square of honour building, on the theme “shande compliance and shared food security” in order to increase awareness of food safety for all and create a favourable climate for social governance. The event was attended by liu myung-seo, vice-president of the district of yoozhou. The event was attended by staff from seven departments, including the district market supervisory authority, the district public security bureau and the district judicial office, as well as by representatives of some food-producing enterprises。
At the site of the event, general knowledge of the laws and regulations of the people's republic of china, such as the food safety law and the law of the people's republic of china on combating food waste, as well as of the food safety sciences, was provided through banners, the distribution of information materials and the setting up of information desks. The event produced over 400 leaflets, 16 panels, 6 banners and posters, and 56 public consultations。
The food basket, which focuses on the public's concerns, is safe, and there is a “show me” service, which allows residents to send food items such as vegetables and meat purchased in supermarkets, agricultural markets, to fast-track food safety trucks, and is immediately inspected by professional inspectors for agricultural disability, thin meat, etc., and the results are publicized on the spot. A total of 21 rapid tests were completed during the campaign, with a 100 per cent pass rate, making food safety regulations more transparent and relevant to the population。
Food security is linked to thousands of households. This food safety awareness week will be used as an opportunity for the yizhou district market supervision authority to continuously strengthen its surveillance efforts to safeguard the food security of the population. At the same time, the population at large is called upon to participate actively in food safety monitoring and to work together to create a safe and secure food consumption environment。
