In order to expand the integrated use of salin lands and explore new models for eco-efficient development of salin lands, the provincial agricultural technology extension centres have been able to achieve good results through the pilot demonstration of the green efficient cultivation of salinized potatoes in the eastern camp agricultural highlands, chang city and contaminated areas, based on the project entitled “salin-resistant, high-quality, ground-breaking new varieties of potatoes”. From 31 may to 1 june, project team experts visited the pilot demonstration base to conduct a site-based project implementation visit to guide mid- and late-stage field management。
In the high area of the eastern camp yellow triangle, testing of salty crops such as alkaline, purple and saline grasses between medium salinized ground potatoes was arranged with a view to planting new models through the pilot demonstration of medium salinized ground potatoes. The base has a demonstration area of 2 acres and, on site, the potato and intercropping crops are in good shape, with three to five potatoes each。

At the changcheng agricultural co-operative and the sit demonstration park, a small and moderate saline ground potatoes green efficient planting technique was arranged for a demonstration area of 60 acres. The test uses the potato variety `hissen 6', the application of soil decomposition and bioorganic fertilizers to the bottom, covering the entire biodegradable membrane, the application of hydrofertilization techniques, the pursuit of saline-resistant microbacterial agents and potassium sulfate solubility, and the mechanical completion of the ground-lifting, rembranding, drip irrigation, land covert seals, scavengers, harvests, etc. With a view to integrating, through a pilot demonstration, the technology for green efficient growth of low-intensity salinized potatoes with a view to “salin-resistant varieties - salin-controlled alkali - fertilizing carbon - water-saving irrigation - fully mechanized”. At the scene, the potato is well-soiled and in good shape, with three to five potatoes each。

The successful cultivation of saline potatoes provides new avenues for the integrated use of saline lands and is important for food security, rural revitalization, industrial revitalization and ecological conservation。
